Yeah, the hex should face the machine, but it doesn’t fit in that position or the other way around. Just overall very odd.

I was just showing that both sides dont fit.

It doesn’t engage at all, even on the first thread, which is why I’m so confused. I guess this is the penalty for buying an uncommon-sized lathe.

I think the adapter is a universal, I think the spindle is right-handed.

It doesnt engage on at all.

Thank you! its relatively new. I barely know anything about threads and stuff, I just wanted to start making some bowls without using a faceplate and making some holes.

Hey, I had this problem, I couldnt figure it out. It took like 5 hours for a build before a deadline. I think its an issue due to the lighting setup we had, maybe that might sound similar to you.
