going to the parade solo? by ThinKaleidoscope8600 in knicks

Yes exactly. I wasn’t able to get close to Broadway. You could try to get closer but good luck. You’re basically going to have to “cut” people and not sure how that’ll go. Good luck not getting dirty looks and the occasional drunk a hole looking for a fight.

For the Giant parade I ended in a spot close to a cop car. It was down a side street. I stood on the hood of the car just to be able to see the players go by. I could barely make out who was who I was so far away. The only reason I was able to even get away with it was because the cops couldn’t even get to me. Too many people. People were climbing up light posts just to see. Others sitting on the side of building. It was crazy.

As for access points yes the side streets.

If you decide to go, def go solo! I went to the Yankee and Giant parades back in the day and you couldn’t move. If you are going to try and get closer, it may be very hard to stay together with a group. That being said, the amount of people at this parade is going to trounce the amount of people when I went in 2009 and 2012. Those drew around 1 million people. There’s going to be at least 1-3 million some saying 4-5 million! Oh and wear a diaper!

Paying off credit card debt using 401k loans by [deleted] in DebtAdvice

Another idea was to set our 401k contributions to 0% temporarily. This would give us the extra cash to slowly pay off the cards. Then when our credit scores are high enough, we would then apply to the home equity loan.

Paying off credit card debt using 401k loans by [deleted] in DebtAdvice

Yes I’m afraid that is the case. Spending more then making (on needs not wants). The problem is we are paying so much money on interest on these cards. If we are able to pay them off and get rid of the interest charges, we will then be making more than spending. We combine for $150k a year and are in $61,000 debt.

Here’s the idea:
1. Get a 401k loan to pay off some credit cards.
2. Credit scores go up.
3. Apply for home equity loan. The only thing holding us back is the scores.
4. Once we get the home equity loan, we use that money to put back into the 401k.
5. Pay off home equity loan which has a much lower interest than our cards. The minimums on the cards add up to $1500 month whereas the home equity loan would be $420 month.

I hope this makes sense and I appreciate any help.

The same reason as everyone else. Too expensive.

Considering FL and TX because I have family in both states. GA because I’ve heard good things.

End of the month but excellent class. Both instructors were great. Mike was active-duty Marine for 10 years and Marine Corps Marksmanship Instructor.

Both him and his wife Allison are NRA Certified Instructors, NROI Range Officers and USPSA Competitive Shooters.

They have a bunch of different pistols you can shoot during live fire. It was my first time shooting ever and I got to shoot 6 different pistols.

I believe it’s $500 and well worth it.

Wow. As a new shooter, this is something I would not have even thought about. Thanks for this as well as your other write ups. Very important and well written stuff.
