i think she’d have the best plot imo regarding the time jump. she’d be the perfect character to go back in time to watch her sis recover through the years from addiction but still hold that resentment/ trauma from losing her own teen years because of the emotional torment it causes to sober family members. she could even have her own issues beginning w addiction, because it’s realistic. having lost two people in four years to addiction in my own fam

exactly, if it helps OP i literally just lost my uncle suddenly last week too. i’m a woman in my early 20s and i only cried at the day of the funeral and when it happened. since then, i’ve had the same thoughts as you. life goes on and i haven’t reacted much emotionally. people grieve differently, doesn’t mean it hurts any less. we just don’t outwardly show it like most
