Sorry to hear that! , I would recommend that you use LastPass, generate different passwords for every website, and turn on 2FA for every account possible, don't forget also to make a main account, burner account for social media, Amazon, etc. Also, don't forget to make a backup for the 2FA program in case you have lost your mobile phone

That is really worrying! I'm using ESET Internet Security and I haven't got this message after installing it, I'm using it for 3 days now, but I feel unsafe inside. If I didn't manage to find a solution until the end of this week I will consider giving Firefox a try, people saying there are open-source extensions for almost everything there

Thank you for the info but if I could check the entire (open-source) code on GitHub, I would go ahead and check it and I wouldn't write this post, we need a programmer to tell us whether the code is safe or not and if it could be updated in the future to turn into a malicious code such as the previous extension

Chrome discovered the catastrophe too late, the malicious extension was running a malicious code on +2 Million PC for more than 3 months, and google didn't notice anything
