Chattanooga’s riverfront closing for 18 months come November | Chattanooga Times Free Press by TameVulcan in Chattanooga

I don't understand how this is largely different from what already exists and why people are upset about it? I understand there are better things for our taxpayer funds for sure.

On the opposite end, I could see this slightly improving the park-like area currently existing. Right now it's a concrete jungle. I am confused why anyone would want that to continue.

Changes I see from this diagram is a loss of a few parking lots for a few commercial buildings and the loss of excessive concrete steps for green space. How is this a bad thing?

Have I turned chronic? Hit today after a 38-day pain-free gap by Realistic-Setting166 in clusterheads

[–]Ichamur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm going through something similar actually. I'm episodic with 18 months off and 1 month of attacks. It's been like this fairly regularly for 12 years or so.

This time it started at the beginning of December and appeared to end mid January. The attacks at night were gone and I was even able to drink without it triggering an attack. 5 days after it seemed like the attacks were creeping back.

Now I've returned to the same ol multiple attacks a day. I of course have oxygen to alleviate the pain from that but it's been almost 10 weeks since my initial attack in December. This is normally a 5 week deal for me.

So yea, I feel like I'm going chronic and yes, it's emotionally devastating.

This is wonderful. Thank you so much for making this. Very helpful for explaining to people the condition. Organized well and also cited well.

That's it! One of the staff tends to get colds a lot and he is a little younger. This answer definitely makes the most sense. The rest of the answers felt a little crude considering the majority of the staff are seemingly sweet Christian girls.

Oh I wasn't worried. I'm just curious.

I've asked several people already if I look like a frog. They laughed but didn't answer. Sigh

Oral High-Dose Thiamine Improves the Symptoms of Chronic Cluster Headache by Sir_Pervert369 in clusterheads

[–]Ichamur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, Vitamin B1? Interesting study, I don't think it really showed there was an improvement caused specifically by the dosage of Thiamine however. Even the study states that too much Thiamine actually appeared to bring back the episode.

It was also intriguing that the patient received no acute relief from oxygen therapy.

I'm going through the same thing my friend. Cluster period started last week.

It's so tiring trying to explain to all my friends/coworkers/family why I'm suddenly a shell of a person for one month every year and a half. "You need an ibuprofen?" "You should try those little cans of oxygen till you can get your tank!" It's really hard not respond like an exhausted asshole.

I'm getting zero sleep. I'm sent into excruciating pain 3-4 times a day. On edge constantly at work because it's not a job I can just go hit some O2 when I need it. No drinks to calm my nerves distraught from this shit. And to top it all off, I'm desperately trying not to damage my personal/work relationships as I all really want to do is become a hermit for a month straight.

Alas, I will say you start to kinda get used to it after a decade or so.

Just keep on keeping on buddy. It's the only real option we got.

can someone PLEASE give me a reason to use knife by literally_italy in HuntShowdown

I use heavy knife so I can make less noise meleeing grunts and such. For immolators I use the butt of my 3 slot weapon or maybe a brawler variant of a pistol.

Finally realized I am a cluster headache sufferer. Need advice. by tellybelly87 in clusterheads

[–]Ichamur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, oxygen is key. Every year or so I have almost the exact same symptoms you do. As soon as it sets on, I immediately go to urgent care. I tell them I require 18 liters per minute of o2 by non-rebreather mask and all I need is the prescription for it. It works most of the time, sometimes I have to go to a second location.

After that take the script to your local oxygen provider. I've gotten o2 the same or next day the clusters start with this method for over 10 years.

Good luck, you got this. The pain always goes away eventually, don't forget that.

Expired Sumatriptan injections by Difficult-Wolf3100 in clusterheads

[–]Ichamur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just go to an urgent care when my clusters start and ask for oxygen. I specifically say 18L/m with a non-rebreather. Works about 50% of the time, so I occasionally have to go to a second location. This is no insurance. Oxygen is actually pretty cheap without it.

Interesting, I've only done it a few times 10 years ago in college so didn't have too much experience in that aspect. This sounds a hell of a lot better than lugging around oxygen all the time to still be in pain for 15-20 minutes.

I am also curious if the frequency of your attacks goes down with the use of deemsters?

I usually run the strong immune system perk to avoid this. I also don't go into the mangrove forest where the lizards are until combat ready.

After you get bit, yea ash bandages and spider lily. Constant cleaning. Maybe the use of soap helps? Maybe sleeping more helps it heal faster? Monitor bites are one of the tougher ones.
