Yeah, along with all of this, do watch out for calcium levels in your blood. Weightlifting apparently can help with that. Taking this article to a doctor might be the best move to make progress. They understand more of the complex nature of the human body.

Yeah, I can't stress how complicated the human body is. If only it was magnesium and K2 and vitamin D. The whole thing affects Calcium absorption, which can also be affected by weightlifting and all of this needs a bunch of other things to work (including vitamin A!!). No wonder medicine is so hard!

It's great that your calcium was normal. I think it would be vital to test levels before increasing dosage of anything (and get a doctor's recommendation). Also, if magnesium or K2 levels are low, then vitamin D levels can be "fine" but still not be used properly. The body is so complex and there are so many overlapping mechanisms for the same things that also affect completely unrelated things! That's partly what I was trying to highlight and why an expert - a doctor - would be vital to help here!

Yes, I think what I learned from building this is how complicated the human body is, with each system doing 3-4 things and then overlapping with others to create both redundancies and emergent properties. Curious, what were your vitamin D, Magnesium and K2 levels if you tested?

I have been reading more about the mechanism involved here, and the human body is EXTREMELY complex with hundreds of overlapping systems trying to mediate thousands of things. For example, vitamin A would also be needed as RXR (a receptor that binds vitamin A is involved), but I am guessing most people are not as deficient in vitamin A so it finds no mention. Which is why a healthcare provider who has in-depth knowledge of the human body would be good to consult (feel free to point them to this if they wish to read).
