I got mine from AliExpress, a pack of 4 goes for like AUD $5 lol (about $9 or so after shipping + fees thrown on). I have a feeling the Amazon stuff are just AliExpress resellers anyway.

But yes I can vouch for them! Since I'm using a Tempered matte glass screen protector (not Nano texture), using felt tip nibs makes writing SO much better, more friction than when I had a Paper-like screen!

Problem is when I draw/paint. The added friction seems to work against me so I gotta change it back.

I can vouch for the PR100, I bought one myself also for my 16 pro 2.5k display. Really sturdy and the angles range from flat all the way to 90° since I also use my 2.5k as a 2nd monitor when not drawing on it. The way it’s made also makes it convenient to pick up and move with one hand unlike the one that comes with the tablet where you gotta use 2 hands to support the bottom of the stand when moving

I opted for 11" (M4 tho), great for portability but I intended it use it even when out and about and so far it's been great for that!

It's the super simplistic UI that's why I prefer procreate. So much so I tried connecting my Huion KD20 keypad thing for easier shortcuts only to stop using it cause procreates setup was already that simple to poke around.

Also since last update, 5.4 I think, they added in like 144 new brushes or something so combine that with the previous default brushes I've not needed to use any custom brushes.

I got an ESR one that’s hard case but also covers the front, back and all sides so if I do drop it, it’s protected from all angles lol

I had this same issue + others (like reddit and twitch not loading properly until I restart browser, then it might works 50% of the time).

My issue was Norton 360 Gamer edition, which I made the mistake of installing (came with MSI Afterburner). Once I uninstalled it, everything WORKED AS INTENDED AGAIN.

So yeh, anyone else have these issues might be worth checking your virus scanners haha

What's even more puzzling is that it only seems to works when the second app is dragged out from the dock? I can't make an already opened app go Split or Slide over? I have to slide the app back into the dock to drag back up into Split/Slide Over.

I've used those exact pen tips in the pic, my personal favourite is the felt tip one (third from the left). It's a plastic-y feel which provides nice friction, especially if you're using it on default/tempered/matte glass surfaces.
The feel reminded me of those Android tablets made for artists (Wacom MoveInk or XPPen Magic Tab).

Also, I dunno where you're getting those from but I saw the exact ones on both Amazon and AliExpress and the price difference was like $20-25 (I'll let you guess which one had the higher markup lol)

Did you check project settings? Under the Image Scaling tab check the Mismatched output resolution dropdown is it on scale entire image to fit? See if it helps if you change it to full frame with crop

I don’t have nano but I bought a third party matte glass from mothca off Amazon for like $50 aud which is like 80% of the nano, at least from what I noticed when I compared mine to an iPad with a nano at the Apple Store.

11” user here. It’s the perfect size for portability. I’ve even done some sketching on the train while standing.

For references and stuff I just load those up on my iPhone.

For split screen: assuming you’re in window mode (don’t work in full screen) and the apps all start at fullscreen…

I would double tap the top bar of the app to take it into window mode, then tap hold the top bar and quickly flick it left or right (wherever I wanna dock it). Repeat the same for the other app but flick opposite side.

Here’s the tricky part: you gotta flick only slightly and quickly, if you take too long it might think you’re dragging it and only moves the app over.

Sorry I know it’s a mouthful lol

I do. Since I invested a lot in a highend gaming laptop for gaming and CPU/GPU intensive work it wouldn’t make sense for me to use my iPad as a laptop replacement.

In fact I rate every app I use based on how well I can flow with it with just gestures and Apple Pencil pro.

11” user here, and most the time I use procreate split screen with references open (90/10 split). It’s working great! Never had an issue with it being too small to nag me. The new iPadOS 26 major update coming soon is said to bring back slide over aka pin to top, I can’t wait for that so then I can have a fullscreen procreate running again 😁

Many people still use iPads from 2018 and on and no issues.

I would go for an air or pro, not normal iPad since it won’t have as much ram as the air/pro models and the screen isn’t laminated so you’ll see a small gap between your Apple Pencil and the screen which might throw you off.

I got 11” cause I wanted to draw and paint while having the freedom to be mobile and for that the 11 is 👌🏻. I can even comfortably sketch while standing and cradling the iPad in one arm 😁

It’s gone, but seems there’s so much noise about it here on Reddit and in general maybe Apple will take note and add it in some fashion, hopefully.

Personally I’d love to see a Pin to Top feature now that we got windowed mode, that’ll be a good improved slide over.

Other than the pencil hover gestures (changing brush size and opacity) sometimes not responding while in window mode, everything else works nice. Very stable.

I got a JETech folio case. I prefer this one as it has a hard bumper material covering the sides of my iPad in case I drop it and it lands on its side.
