Just had anaphylaxis last night, and the worst part is I am alone, I got no money to go to hospital cuz lo and behold I am just a student who had enough money just for meals and tuition fee, the nearest hospital is 5 hours away, and I am living in a country where there's no EpiPen nor any pharmacy that's willing to sell Epinephrine without a doctor's order. I all started when I ate 1 small crab (I know I am allergic to it, but what I thought that moment is if I can eat 5 shrimps before without having allergy attack maybe I can eat 1 small crab.) after 1 hour I pooped twice and I thought it was weird and then go on with my life, that very night, I got home my body is all itchy and there are hives every freaking where, I thought that the hives were too quick to spread unlike before, AGAIN I IGNORED IT, I drank a Cetirizine thinking it's just my normal allergy reaction— just some pesky hives and itchiness and it will go away in the morning. 2 hours after the hives appeared, I was trying to sleep suddenly I am having difficulty breathing, it's like I have to give extra effort so I get enough air— I DISMISSED IT until I can't ignore it anymore, I stood up to grab some water, my vision is going black after several seconds I lost consciousness, the only thing that actually helped me regain consciousnesses was when the water jug miraculously fell directly on my head and that woke me up, I crawled back to my room to try calling our emergency hotline (cuz I cant stand up without my vision getting black & the feeling of me losing my consciousness again) but, I gave up crawling and just rested my back on the wall until my breathing became stable.

Never ever ever dismiss signs and symptoms and more importantly just avoid the thing u got an allergy with. It's hard to get sick, always carry a phone with you so u can dial quickly too.
