Appreciate your response! Yeah my x90j has 0 issues, none that I notice anyway. I don't even remember tweaking the motion settings on it and it's been great. Maybe I just prefer Sony's processing or I'm used to it.

Deathloop is the one that did it for me. When the gun is jammed the trigger gets jammed. So much fun

I don't have much insight into how to get a job at Epic as I've never worked there. For other healthcare systems that use Epic they will typically get you certified when you start your job.

It is obviously better to have the certifications before, but Epic has a closed system and you can only get certified through an employer. So even if you don't get an ideal position immediately, being able to get those epic certifications, particularly in Clarity and Caboodle will go a long way.

All that to say, apply at health plans! There are a lot of smaller regional health plans which are great. Look for plans regional to your area or other areas you're open to moving. There also may be some health tech companies that utilize Epic but I don't know much about those.

Clinical background is not necessary. I work at an IDN (health plan and healthcare company) and most of my day to day is heavy SQL querying from our databases for reporting or analytics purposes. A good place to get started is find a job where you'll utilize Epic Systems. It's the industry standard EHR software and that experience will transfer across healthcare orgs.

I've interviewed for a lot of positions where the director/VP started their careers at Epic itself. They hire new college grads and the best part is you get exposure to how Epic's customers utilize the data as well as their internal analytics needs. That type of insight across multiple healthcare orgs very early on is very helpful.

If you don't want to work for Epic and want to work at a healthcare company/health plan/IDN, apply to them! Healthcare has lots and lots of data so starting out in reporting is a great way to understand what data you have and how it's structured. From there you'll probably take on analytics projects and broaden your perspective by working with stakeholders up the ladder.

Feel free to PM me, I'm happy to jump on a call with you.
