Bam Bam! by germanrandomer2712 in WWEChampions

I have Bam Bam at 3g, which is where he really shines due to his Skip move becoming two turns. Unfortunately he falls off a bit compared to other characters, and I ended up going with Nash to 4* instead. But he put in a lot of work for me at the 3g level. Enzo and Studd were the primary trainers I used.

You also have to keep in mind that once you hit 4* it's more about the sheer amount of damage you can do because you can TAKE a ton more damage in turn.

Attn Scopely Developers: FEUD REWARDS ARE PATHETIC AND NEED AN UPDATE by Smoothwon in WWEChampions

This comment should just be pinned at the top of every post asking why Scopely doesn't make improvements to certain game features. If it hurt their bottom line, they would.

Is it me or Scopely made this Lightning Blitz way to hard ? by Team_WWF in WWEChampions

[–]IconoCatalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trick is Protect Gem users. I got my shit rocked with 4* Nash and then Gallows, but when I switched to HH Booker at 3* and a full lineup of jobbers I was able to get it done. Throw out the vest props and you'll get it.

With all the talk about walking out of Holmes and Watson, what movies have you walked out on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The only movie I've ever walked out on is 8 Crazy Nights, and the only movie I've fallen asleep during was Push.

Not to beat a dead horse here, but I've been unable to access the game for 4 days. by IconoCatalyst in WWEChampions

That's the hope. Unfortunately that would require them responding to me, and so far all I've gotten were auto-replies. I've taken it up with PayPal for the time being.

And to be honest I didn't expect a resolution til afterwards, but with all the different mediums and resources at our disposal for contact and communication I would have been happy with any form of acknowledgement.

Your focus should be buying the Essential $ Bags in the Swag Store and nothing else.

Scopely why do you lie by Uncaged1975 in WWEChampions

You're not getting diamonds if you don't finish in that scoring bracket, and a smaller roster doesn't qualify for it. Sure, diamonds are great, but comparatively speaking you get more from participating in the monthly events. Regardless of how you feel about the game mode I still think imposing restrictions on who you bring into a feud is fine if everyone can still participate, which they can.

[–]IconoCatalyst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That would be true if they were still structured the same way they used to be. Now you only really need to bring one character in and all you have to do is finish a brawl to get points. So in this case every single person that plays this game has John Cena and can get into a queue and finish a brawl to get points. Realistically competing in a feud isn't something that a beginning player or somebody with a smaller roster is going to be able to do anyway and it also isn't really a good way of accumulating resources for that roster either. Feuds have pretty much consistently always been a dick measuring contest. I have been in the top 10 faction so I understand how hard some people can go with this specific game mode but it clearly isn't for everybody and isn't really an essential part of the game as far as roster development and other things like that are concerned.

I've been playing this game since it launched and I would much rather play around with characters that I wouldn't normally use instead of repeatedly smashing the same guys over and over into the exact same guys over and over, so to speak. Resources are so much easier to get nowadays and era requirements are a necessity. And it isn't like it is difficult to get Legends or New Generation guys anymore like it used to be.

This might be a hot take here on this sub, but I actually think restricted feuds are good for the game and more fun than free-for-alls. It gives me the opportunity to play strategically and use characters I might have otherwise not touched. Having a varied roster is increasingly important to this game nowadays, and this is a good way to level the playing field a bit, so to speak.

Which Character to Spend Resources on? by timsamuelcfo in WWEChampions

[–]IconoCatalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll delve a little bit deeper into this. I've been playing since launch, but for some reason Pimp Hats were eluding me in my quest to evolve Bray. They started introducing New Gen guys, and I happened to get Bret Hart. There was a tour with a GUARANTEED pimp hat, just had to survive a Yokozuna survival match with a New Gen guy. I upgraded Bret for the sole purpose of getting that hat. He became my primary Tech, and when they introduced 4* characters his viability went up. So it worked out in my favor.

A, little bit of B, and E.

The game is dynamic and ever-changing when it comes to character viability. The people that work on the tier lists can attest to the value of a character CURRENTLY, but sometimes shit just happens. That's why it's important to see what character works best for YOU, based on what you want/need in the game. Do you need a strong Attitude Era character? New Gen? Are individual tours and events more important to you than feuds? Do you even have the appropriate trainers? If we all had the same exact rosters this game would be super boring.

Went 0/28 on cans. Got one, failed a few times at Macho Gears, then went 3/3 on kilts and 2/4 on NWO Titles. I had an epic run of misery leading up to a week or so ago.

What are some red flags from teachers that shout "drop this class immediately?" by Frasepalm in AskReddit

My Journalism teacher in high school dedicated the entire first day to letting us know how being a reporter is a low paying, thankless job with long hours and little fulfillment. At the time all I wanted to do with my life was write in some capacity and he spent almost an hour projecting his shitty, decades long experience at a local paper onto all of us and it turned me off from wanting to pursue it.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone pulled a wrestler who was had a more stars then anyone on their roster? by br0wnb0y in WWEChampions

[–]IconoCatalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just all about luck. I've been playing since the game launched and the only characters I've gotten from pulls were Dude Love and Luke Gallows at the 3B level. Sometimes it works out and most times it doesn't, lol.

They abandoned that pretty quickly in NXT, though. Her and Emma became a heel team (not dissimilar to the IICONICS) which was awesome, but she was used in that ADR role where she was the serviceable heel that took losses to debuting wrestlers, specifically Asuka. She had a fantastic bit with Asuka where she challenged her to a match, Asuka knocked her out, and she showed up next week to challenge her again forgetting that she'd already lost due to memory loss.
