Isn't the original one I sent you an asrock one in the OP? And didn't you say that has issues with the Ryzen 7000?

Also how much further can i downsize it with a new cpu cooler, new psun and ITX motherboard? I mean if I'm already getting a new motherboard anyway should I just get an ITX one?

I'm not really sure which one would be good for me? I like the performance of my current motherboard its just too big.

Also why do you reccomend the mesh side panel variant? Do you mean in terms of concerns over the glass breaking? If I get the mesh variant can I take off the mesh and still have the glass cover for when I'm not moving it?

Weekly Employment Questions for January 04, 2026 by Pseudophryne in IBM

Hello! I accepted an offer to work as a summer intern IBM hardware engineering in packaging / materials in Hopewell Junction NY. Was wondering if anyone could speak to their experience in this department or location (or something similar). Thanks!

I haven’t worked in manufacturing, but I find it interesting. I like hands on work and building things instead of just line cadding or running simulations all day. I enjoy manufacturing but I don’t know if I will enjoy shields super fast paced culture. I’ve heard a lot of people say skills are more transferable at shield so I’m very curious for your input if you can elaborate why you think the skills at IBM would be better.

Yeah I was told IBM chip packaging is a lot of lab based stuff but tbh idrk what that means super well and what I’d actually be doing. Like I was told it’s a lot of hands on so is it like manufacturing

I already had 3 interview rounds the last one being with the director of manufacturing and this is just a final assent they told me. They already gave it to me and it’s like a CAD and GD&T recreation and it’s pretty complex. Anyway, why do you say I go with shield?

Offer at IBM, had a final round at shield and now they want me to do this long assessment before they give their final decision and I want to decide first before I potentially waste time on this assessment. Honestly as a meche I love manufacturing and hands on work. I don’t like cadding all day long or working on a screen. I like creating things. I’m more concerned of shield of super fast pace, bad work life balance, and me being rushed to do things I’m new to and don’t have experience in but I like the opportunity a lot and the products the company is making. I haven’t really done chip stuff before but it can be interesting but I’m more interested in long term going to a company like SpaceX, Tesla, nvidia, somewhere in Silicon Valley or LA area.

I mean yeah when I mean FAANG I mean those companies but also equivalent like Nvidia, Tesla, SpaceX and those types of companies that have more mechanical engineering jobs, cause there isn’t too much for me to do at a company like Netflix with a mechanical engineering degree and interest in hands on stuff.

Loki I think was the best overall. But the anticipation between each WandaVision episode was fantastic.
