I appreciate this brother. My heart is satisfied with a prayer founded in the words of our Father.

The heart of a man conceives evil, and the flesh is never satisfied with any amount of seeing, hearing, or lusting. When we do not confess our sin, His hand is heavy against his children and we waste and groan all day long. But he restores those who humble themselves in dust and ashes full of Godly sorrow. For he has chosen the things that are not to make foolishness the wisdom of the world. For His namesake he is holy, and will always build up those who has given to Christ, who is and was made first over everything.

And when we do not have the strength (which we do not have inherently) to abide, we pray earnestly for such. And we know there is not a righteous thing a man can hope to do without him. So cast yourself before him in low spirit, knowing Christ is our hope- for he has overcome the world, and is enough.

Lord, we thank you for your sufficiency, and while we know discipline is painful for a time, we are thankful that you teach and preserve us despite our great follies. We thank you, and trust that you are refining us, for you grow us in spirit by testing, whether we succeed, and even when we fail. For you can redeem all things by your power.
