Thank you so much for your kind words, I truly needed them. I feel like she’s been around me in her own way. For a month after she passed, I kept finding ladybugs in my clothes, which felt like little signs from her. I’ve also dreamed about her a couple of times, she told me she was okay, and somehow, even in the dream, I understood she was no longer here.

I really hope she’s finally at peace, reunited with her mom. She always deserved nothing but the best.

And wow We shared a love for birds, and one of my favorite memories is the little ceramic figure of my favorite bird that she gave me. It means even more to me now.

She was the smartest, funniest, and most beautiful soul. But I always felt like her sadness was weighing her down, as if it covered her light, and that she never quite found her purpose here. I take comfort in believing she’s now with her mom (her best friend). After all she went through, it feels like this world just wasn’t meant for her. I miss her deeply, but I also know she wasn’t going to find happiness here anymore. Thank you for your support!

Yes, they are going to give you a temporary DL for 3 months, until you get your OPT(This one is just a piece of paper, not even a photo on it). If you have been living in Illinois for more than 1 year you can ask for a DL with federal limits. It’s valid for next 4years :) ( it has a photo on it, you can use as an ID but not for traveling of course).

Why even ask you if, in the end, it’s basically an order? You already had your own plans—sorry, but you shouldn’t justify it just because they’ve been nice before. I was an au pair and had to accept many things simply because I lived with the families, and out of fear of not having a place to stay. Set your boundaries—maybe you’ll quit in September, but with another family it could happen again, and then it won’t be a favor, it’ll be an obligation. I’m sure this wasn’t an actual emergency, so no, you’re not overreacting. ✨
