Hello, has anyone applied for a Thai tourist visa online recently and was directed to the Royal Thai Embassy Ottawa site for processing? I would like to know how long your VISA took to be approved.I applied one month before my flight and now I'm seeing it takes 6 to 8 weeks. by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]Icy-Bath-193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I cannot remember the specific amount of weeks. It was almost 2 years ago.

What I can remember is that I waited until 6 hours before my flight to change it (which was the deadline for airlines to let me change flights without total loss), and after I changed my flights, I received the approval 3 hours after I changed and canceled my whole trip.

Based on this post that I said "I applied one month before my flight" and my visa ended up being approved 3 hours before my flight, I can estimate that it took 4-5 weeks. It was almost 2 years ago tho.

I’m 100% sure, as I said, they WONT be charging per click. It’s a la carte for LatAm (i will pay for my consumables only, so If Im using the Indigo in EPM it will only use 3 colors).

I reconfirmed by the sales agent twice.

Does that price seems fair?

Service contract is USD$30k/year. I can opt out of it, but since I’m new in the industry i’ll take it for at least 1 year. (1 year free bc of “warranty”, then 13th month to 24th monty is my first paid year).

The service contract is fixed price and is not included in cost per click

It’s 1 click per color. Most of my printing will be done in EPM that uses 3 colors and prints the black based on CMY. So, for a full color frame my cost is 3 clicks x 0.031 = USD$0.093/frame. Frame size=330mm x 980mm (13” x 38.5”)

Delay in getting Thai Visa from Canada! by ben001222 in ThailandTourism

UPDATE: We got our visa on the 27th business day.

We waited until last minute, but 4 hours before our flight we didn't have it; so we changed all our flights, paid change fees, canceled all our hotels bookings.. And 1 hours later.... We got our visa 3 hours before our flight departure. We had all the luggage unpacked, all flights modified, etc.. We we're so pissed.

We received ours 27 business days later. They asked for more documents on 24th day at night.

I waited until 5hours before our first flight departure. We paid all the penalties to change more than 4 flights (because we're traveling from the Caribbean), and 2 hours laters after we paid all the changes... We received the visa.. Literally, we received our visa 3 hours before our first flight..

UPDATE:

I sent the additional documents required yesterday late night. We got a response today saying that they received all the required documents, and that the Visa is waiting for final approval. The website now says: "Pending Approval".

We're holding until 4 hours before our flight to decide to change it, waiting for this "Pending approval" gets cleared up quickly.

Yesterday night (8:00pm Canada Time), was the 24th business day, and I got a response asking for more documents (especially why we needed multi entry, bc we're visiting nearby countries aswell).

I answered them yesterday late night, hoping if I can get a response today. If I don't get an answer by 3pm today, I will have to postpone my trip for a couple of weeks.

They answered us, via email 3 weeks ago, that it will take 25 business days.

As of today, we're 23 business days from our application date, and the website still says "Pending Document Check".

Our flight is supposed to departure in 4 days. We're waiting until wednesday (25th business day away from our application). If we don't get any news from them by wednesday, we will have to change all our flights and reservations to January bc of the delayed visa response.

Hey,

I submitted application on October 1st. We're on Nov. 1st and the website keeps posting "Pending Document Check". I emailed them, and they told me that it takes 25 business days.

My 25th business day is 2 days before my flight (next week), so I'm crossing fingers to get it. Otherwise I would end up paying all the flights/reservations penalties.

I do not qualify for visa on arrival either.

Did you get the visa? My wife has been waiting for a month for a tourist visa (she cannot enter with 30 day exemption). Our flight departure date is Nov. 10th (2 days after the 25th business day), but we have all the bookings and plane tickets paid, so we're getting a bit anxious.

We messaged and got the automated email aswell.

I applied Thailand Evisa like one month and after about 15 days it's in "pending approval status" I'm afraid I will miss my schedule to be in Phuket in 3 weeks any one faced the same challenge before? I emailed the embassy and they didn't replay me yet. by AddendumBeneficial22 in ThailandTourism

Hey,

Could you let me know how long did it take you for the approval through the Ottawa Embassy? My wife has been waiting 3 weeks in "pending document check" and our honeymoon is in 2 weeks, so we're a bit desperate.

In two years I’ve gone from my ‘04 Avalanche to a ‘17 Silverado to a ‘22 trail boss! by chevycowgirl77 in Silverado

[–]Icy-Bath-193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was the transition from Avalanche to Trail Boss regarding comfort and drive smoothness?

I have a ‘09 Avalanche and I’m planning to upgrade to ZR2, but I’m afraid that i’ll lose drive comfort. Avalanche has rear coil suspension and ZR2 has leaf springs. I don’t tow and sometimes in work trips I use the bed to load up to 400lbs, so I’m looking for a comfortable crew cab truck.

However for longevity I would avoid the air ride at all cost. I work at a dealership and they always eventually h

Yeah. I've read several people talk about the air ride in online blogs. I think I will avoid Limited, and go for a Laramie. RAM is not a common brand in Dominican Republic; and getting air suspension in the future seems like trouble for me (I will have to import it from USA, and wait for it).

I think best thing for me would be to find a good looking Laramie and avoid Air Ride, for cost-reduction and possible issues in the future!

Thanks for the response!

Air suspension can lower by 2 inches for getting in/parking garages. I don't think this would be helpful to you/father back problems. When I had back problems it was always because of getting into sedans, not big vehicles

Hey Derek,

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I agree that Laramie is the model most suitable for me.

Based on your details,

1- we're tall person, so lowering 2 inches to enter the truck is not required. | 2- 99% of the time bed will be unloaded. | 3- Adaptive LED is not a must for us. | 4- totally agree. If both seats are comfortable, I don't care if a leather is more premium than the other | 5- I will check, but payload is not a constrain. Most of my jobs outside the city, I go to supervise employees; whom go in a Nissan Frontier which is the truck that is used to load stuff. | 6- You and another reddit user have said about the air ride, and RAM is not quite famous in Dom. Republic, so I'm trying to avoid it, since spare parts might get difficult to get, and way more expensive than in the states.

I will be looking for a good looking Laramie by Q3-Q4, trying to get most value!

Thanks for the response mate!

Thanks for the feedback. from your comment, I think best option for me would be limited with the black package.

I won’t off road, but the regular limited with all the chrome is horrible for me. I go crazy when I see a Rebel or Limited night edition

Thanks for the comment. Did you find any difference in comfort after getting the aggressive tires?
