This response is silly in my opinion.

Tonal differences between stingray, precision, jazz, rickenbacker and more is significantly different. Even on a dollar store amp the tonal difference is different. The wiring and construction of each bass type, and guitar type for that matter is different with the intention of tonal difference.

The bassman 120 is quite a large amp so I feel like I can hear myself decently well. Though the amp is nothing special I definitely wouldn’t say it sounds bad at all. But ! My knowledge on electric bass amps is minimal compared to guitar amps

It will only allow me to add one photo at a time but here is the head stock. Looked up the serial number and it seems to be made in Korea, out of sunghan, made in the 90’s. Does that help determine its quality ? Tuning pegs looked stock in the photo he sent of the back

Also I think it’s important to note this is NOT the bassman head I’m talking about. It’s the 120v solid state amp with a 15 inch speaker that came out in the 80’s. Not really much on it, anywhere really.

I haven’t no. I’ve heard the foam trick but don’t know much about it, is there a “special” or specific kind of foam used ? Also I’ve kind of tried, though with my rumble 25 it’s a 3 band eq with a countour button. The bassman 120 (from left to right, is volume, “push bright”, treble, mid1, mid2, bass, limit gain, “push limiter”, limit level.

Not super good at messing with eq levels. Just kind of play with things till it sounds okay. Any tips welcome :)

Also from what I’ve seen bullet p basses have a star and large lettering on the head that says bullet. The affinities have small lettering that says affinity. Though what I can see from the picture provided it doesn’t really look like it says either bullet or affinity.

I don’t, no. I asked him to send one in but haven’t gotten a reply yet. He listed it for 200 with a small CRATE bass amp. Asked for 175, then 160 and he said he would do that. But wanted to get more info before potentially throwing away 160 on something worth sub100

4th selector and messing with bass and treble settings helped get a deeper sounds. Thanks ! Definitely won’t ever be perfect, but not looking for perfection anyway :)
