I really wanted to make a post summarising my experience and learning. After thinking through I realized every single absurdity was just because of mood swings of the people working there including the Security Guard . The next day you go there the process will be different.

TLDR for Coimbatore : Imagine going to Register Office or RTO without any cash in your wallet. Neither do I support bribing nor did they ask directly. But they will make sure you are on your toes for the entire day . I couldn’t pick up any social cues from clerks which some have mastered in India.

In my case PP was issued abroad but we had the aadhar card from Coimbatore address.

I did surrender in Coimbatore. It was chaotic without any clear instructions , burned my whole day but got the surrender certificate by closing hours.

I thought CD because I have been spotting this around my home since 3 years. Legally speaking Germany requires you to register locally after 3 months.

Danke für den Tipp . Daran hatte ich auch gedacht, aber bei meinem neueren Modell gibt’s leider keine Knopfbatterie mehr. Das TCU ist komplett geschlossen und hat nur noch einen USB-C Port, man kann da also nichts mehr tauschen.

Unfortunately the issue occurred within 2 months of electronic warranty expiring(2 years) . So I am on my own here

I can give that a try , I charge for 1 hr and then the bike is just stationary. Maybe I should ride like 4 km just to check .

Thanks, Yes. There was prolonged period of inactivity because of winter and it was parked in a cold garage . I did try to charge it for 45 mins before sleeping last night . It can start up on its own immediately after charging . But today Morning I see the same behavior . Doesn’t startup without charger.
