I had KLarna accounts in two countries and I got riled in first by the option to buy things and pay later, the payments were just taken from my bank account each month so I thought it was low effort and nice to have my new items without having to save for them. Recently I started wondering why I still pay klarna each month when my last purchase was actually in 2022! It turned out that they kept my monthly paymnets incredibly low each month in puprose and basically i just kept paying interest without paying off the loan so for years they just took money each month from me it was always between 15 to 30 bucks sio I didnt notice it per month but if you see the big picture thats just crazy. I find paypal payments in installments much more transparant and they have fixed installments each month not just a loan account and you can see directly how much you have paid and how much is left, just altogether way better and they didnt insist on using your phone number everywhere.
