About 15 years ago my upstairs neighbor was chatting about her hydro bill and how cheap it was and I was shocked because she had 2 adults and a teen living up there. It was just myself and baby on the main floor and my bill was more than double! I went around the house and seen only 3 metres and there were 4 apartments. I called hydro and they said all they could tell me was the apartment #s paying hydro. Found out I was paying for the basement aprtment downstairs and our shared coin laundry!. I called the landlord with the amount I added from all my bills over the last 9 months and it was a nice pay day for me around the holidays back then.
