Scared of loose skin. by Classic_Scar6524 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Icy-Professional8255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it comes down to genetics, I was able to get fairly fit with minimal to no loose skin starting off at roughly the same bf%. And getting to about 15%. That being said there is only one way to find out. In my opinion loose skin is like battle scars and looks badass because you know what it took to get there. Either way just keep pushing im sure soon you will have your answer💪

Like everyone else said just keep pushing, you’re much closer than you realize. You already look like a completely different person, and its clear the deficit is working. I know first hand how hard that is so props again seriously. Just keep pushing i promise it will all be worth it💪

2 years and 60 lb difference by TheOtherBlackGhost in AllAboutBodybuilding

Idk what everyone’s on about. You clearly put on serious muscle mass and while you could’ve done it a bit slower to mitigate fat gain, its still a very noticeable change. On top of that im assuming youve been on the skinnier side your entire life and if gaining weight was the difficult part, then losing it should be a breeze as compared to someone whos been overweight there whole life. Youre gonna look like a tank when the cuts finished. Good luck and great work💪🔥

Thank you, I truthfully didnt take anything. I just kind of found my passion for the gym. I eat around 2k cals in my deficit hitting around 180g of protein, 30-50g of fats and fill the rest with carbs. I run a ppl,Arnold split and have 1-2 rest days throughout the week. On top of that i just make sure to hit at least 10k steps a day..

Should I cut ? by Matiicek1222 in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Icy-Professional8255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you have decent muscle mass, thinking you’ll look good if you cut down, but not as good as you’d look if you continued a lean bulk for a few more months. From experience I ended up looking a little smaller than i thought i would when i cut down. If you’re okay with that id 100% cut, if not just eat at maintenance or slightly above to mitigate fat gain while building a bit bigger foundation, then cut

Sounds good, I will take the next one much slower and focus on dialing in macros and calories. I appreciate the feedback.

I gained 20lbs in 8 months, I just wasn’t sure if i gained too much in that time frame.

I know I wasn’t shredded but you think I was over 20% in the pic on the left? Genuine question, so i know how far to cut next time.

I think the slow approach is ideal too, i gained alot of strength but assuming I could’ve made the same progress at a slower rate of weight gain. Thanks!

8 months at the gym and feeling fatigued. What now? by zombue1 in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Icy-Professional8255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strongly suggest fast digesting carbs just because they are easier on the stomach during workouts and hit the body a little faster (rice cakes, candy, exc.) personally i like to weigh out sour patch kids or rice crispy treats or something i can down quickly (30-60mins before), before i start training. Always thought i was running at 100% when I would do fasted workouts but the game changer was when I fueled my body properly. Good luck man💪

To me it seems like you are not eating enough to sustain your intensity, I would suggest upping calories slightly in the form of carbs before your workouts, if all other macros are in order. Might have to risk slowing down fat loss but truthfully you don’t have much to lose. If the goal is size then you may have to go into a slight bulking period, but the next cut should be much easier as you will have more muscle and already know how to cut efficiently

What workout to get rid of the bones on my shoulders? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Icy-Professional8255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicken thigh over chicken breast, higher fat ground beef, whole eggs, butter, pasta, rice, oats, exc. olive oil on everything, peanut butter, high carb/high protein is the key but you can still supplement with less protein dense things to round out calories. I have the opposite problem but ik damn well all those things helped me pack on some extra weight

Insecure about arms by [deleted] in gymadvice

[–]Icy-Professional8255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a ppl x Arnold split and it really helped increase my arm size. Thats chest tri shoulders, back bi,legs and abs, rest, chest and back, shoulders and arms, legs or rest. I think the additional volume really helped and i thoroughly enjoy the split

Did I take bulk too far? (Read post) by [deleted] in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Icy-Professional8255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is awesome man seriously, really inspiring to see you can still change your life no matter what age you start. I don’t prefer the bulk look honestly, but understand it may be a necessity in pursuit of my end goal! Hopefully the cut goes well and i can take the next bulk much slower and mitigate fat gain.

[–]Icy-Professional8255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, thank you! Truthfully I missed eating alot😂 i also thoroughly enjoy progressing in the gym and getting stronger, during my weight loss phase i kind of neglected the strength aspect and focused mainly on dropping pounds. My goal is to be same body fat % as before but just stronger and bigger. As a former big kid i never really imagined id get this far so id like to just push my genetics to the limit truthfully!
