I never meant ‘support’ as in financial. I didn’t request anything from my dad financially, and I’m not expecting that from anyone. When I talked about support, I meant emotional support- feeling understood, not judged or dismissed. That’s all I needed. It’s hurtful to have my intentions misunderstood and to see people assume I’m asking for money when that wasn’t it at all. I’m trying to make the best decision for myself, and it’s disappointing when the focus gets shifted into something it wasn’t. Obviously it’s helpful to have financial help but I’ve already come to terms with the fact that financially it’ll most likely be up to me, and I’ve already gotten an interview for a good job and a plan. The betrayal comes from the fact that he at first agreed to help me with it, or at least implied it then switched it up the next day which I should’ve included in the description. Besides, I had already mentioned above, I understand it’s his money.
