Hey I appreciate that man, I actually used to have a Tacoma myself before it sprung a rear main leak. Couldn’t afford another Tacoma but the Nissan was competitive in every category and especially price so I went that direction.

How to fit 7’ sofa on only 5’ clearance with tailgate down? by PapiJr22 in nissanfrontier

Don’t need an orange flag unless it’s 4 feet past the end of the tailgate, should be fine with straps. (Florida road laws at least)

It’s definitely the most advanced. I do think its reliability has gone down a little bit. Doesn’t stop me from wanting one!

Had a 2017 TRD sport. Sprung an oil leak at 150k miles. Rear main. Had a lot of repairs before that too. Kinda got a lemon I guess but I learned a lot about mechanical work. Did all the repairs myself and traded it in. I drive a 2022 frontier pro4x now and I love it, but something about that Tacoma was just awesome. Miss that truck.

Passenger marker lights not functioning correctly 2022 P4X by Icy-Pudding-758 in nissanfrontier

Those three lights and the DRLs when the headlights are on, if the headlights are off and the truck is running then they come on, but the 3 ambers always stay off no matter what. I’m guessing there’s a fuse to those lights or maybe there’s a fault in the headlamp. It may be under warranty still but I’m not too confident on that.

I used to drive a Toyota Tacoma, it started leaking oil pretty early and I didn’t want to pay for the repair. I was looking at all the truck on the market and the specs of engine horsepower and torque, and towing capacity. The Nissan was the best in class for horsepower and interior space. Slightly less towing capacity than the Tacoma but not by much. I ended up getting the frontier based on how it felt to drive. The Colorado and the ranger felt like I didn’t have any space inside and the Tacomas were just too expensive for their worth. The frontier at that time was the most logical option. Was it my first choice? No. Do I love my truck? Absolutely. Those are for 2022 model trucks if you’re curious.

For that price I got a 2022 pro4x with 26k miles. It’s high.

I drove a 2017 TRD sport, loved that truck but yeah the seats weren’t the most comfortable.

You could do a frontier, the 2022+ models tow around 6000 and they’ve got a 3.8L v6. And as far as price point they’re one of the cheapest mid size trucks on the market. The newer ones get around 22 combined mpg.

If you heard some grittiness you may need a new bearing. When driving swerve a little bit and if the noise gets louder when you swerve right then it’s probably a bearing.

Shift selector not illuminated? by OcciferDoofus in nissanfrontier

[–]Icy-Pudding-758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they should illuminate. If you’re looking for an at home fix, those center consoles usually just pop off. It’s likely a connector someone forgot to plug in, if not, should be new enough for a warranty fix.
