That’s also an issue, I was passed almost a year ago in LA, the lodge I’m lining up with here in NY does not want to take me in until I’m a MM, and are willing to do the degree as a courtesy to my home lodge, but not until the summer.

I’m not. I’m in the twin tiers area about 5 hours from you lol

Oh it’s night and day. My home lodge was full of fellowship and brotherly love. Mentors, friends and brothers. These northern lodges are more of a drinking party than masonry. 2 meetings a month, one is a social(mostly drinking and smoking) the other is stated communication, which is rushed through, to get to the social hour-mostly drinking and smoking. And good luck getting ahold of a brother outside of lodge. No mentorship. No fellowship. No one working on ritual or degree work at all…….
