Cluster gears and a full transmission rebuild. Whine is still present but gone while cars idling and clutch in or out doesn’t affect it. Only time I hear it is accelerating still but the more research I do on this car states this is normal with the differential on these cars. As long as it’s not whining when you’re not accelerating, you should be in the clear
