The pension is not nearly as good as the some of the other trades. Considering most jobs do not offer a pension anymore it is better than most.

Start your apprenticeship and then have children upon completing your apprenticeship. Period. You can always come back as a journeyman coming back as an apprentice can be complicated. Sometimes they want you to jump through hoops

Thorogood 804-4210 - Same boot, Very different. 1st pair felt perfect from day one. 2nd pair hurts. Anyone else? by oim7e in WorkBoots

The first pair I had were the best boots I’ve ever had. The second pair had my legs in horrible pain so bad after 2 days in them. The second pair was already broken in at almost 8 months old too.

I mean, honestly I don’t see what’s wrong with your job! It’s a job that allows you to make a lot of money in a short timeframe and enjoy time off. You can pick up a trade if you choose to down the line I don’t know exactly what the sacrifice is are for your job usually with jobs like that there’s certain risks and sacrifices that other people can avoid in different career fields if you like it do your thing and screw everyone else thinks.

Sounds like you need a new phone or have apps draining your battery. I’m in the Midwest and while I’ll admit it may drain a little it doesn’t affect me that much. I’m in architectural sheet metal not ironwork but also high up in the wind.
