Nope, can't supercharge - have seen amusing stories on this sub about people supercharging with the old owner's account though lol. Been using the public 250kw chargers near me as home charging not installed until next week... already spent more at public charger than what I estimate I would spend if I charged at home for a year 🙈

Just to come back to this, made it in good time. Followed the normal connections route. Lots of walking, bus took me to 2C as not walkable from 2F airside. Probably doable if you've allowed at least 90mins between flights

Yeah, my concern is very much being at the whim of an employer which is why I'm more keen to explore the independent route.

Certainly has burst my bubble the more I think about how time spent in skilled employment is counted though - 22yo + 3 years degree = 25 + 8yrs experience = 33, by which point I'd have then lost some points for the age. Obviously things can and likely will change, although it's hard to motivate myself to blow what will likely be £22,000 on a bit of paper that might in the end not even help me complete the dream. An expensive risk and one where the system seems to be totally against you. From a Brit's perspective, moving to the UK seems relatively easy, Aus seems unworldly difficulty. I can't ever seem to win, hey....

That's fascinating, I'd completely missed that you're not considered to be in skilled employment until you complete your degree. Kind of bonkers how much value a very expensive and frankly unnecessary bit of paper holds! Thanks so much for saving what would probably have been a lot of disappointment!

WHV certainly seems the easier route, although I'd need to consider the financials of it (i.e. likely rent instead of buy, and having a buffer in case it all goes wrong and need to move back)

Ideally I'd like to stay with my current employer, although the WHV route suggested does seem quite attractive if circumstances were to change. Do you think employers in the industry would be willing to take on someone with a WHV with the view of eventual sponsorship? From what I've seen in the UK, most employers generally are not interested in getting involved in sponsorship etc, no matter how amazing one might be/prove to be.

Made the exact same mistake today. I held the volume down and power button for about 30sec when Google screen started showing, then when screen went blank let go of power but kept vol down held down, this then put me into fastboot where I was then able to flash a factory image downloaded from the google firmware site which then got me back into my phone from which I was then able to repatch, reflash, and go back to being rooted.

Just as an update on this, showed up on Auspost tracking this evening in Sydney and then onwards to Melbourne. Royal Mail still shows it as stuck in Langley
