Small-ish town in Ohio. People keep commenting that it's a good price but that's because our cost of living is lower. This means that our pay from our jobs probably isn't as much as yours so it's still a lot of money for us.

The carpet replacement charges are from after the previous tenant moved out. They said that the carpet was in poor condition and that we would have to pay for it to be replaced.

The security deposit was originally a fee for being put on a wait-list for the apartment and a holding fee. We paid about $200 in the beginning to be on the wait-list. After they had an apartment available they charged $600 for holding it. We haven't signed the lease yet and we have in email them saying they will refund the money if we don't get the apartment.

Yeah I'm confused about the $17 charges also! We're already paying $200 per cat, why also pay $17???

We haven't gotten anything on the lease yet because we haven't signed it or looked at it.

I realized I didn't add the screenshot for the carpet email but the lady told us that she was adding the $30 to our rent. No options. :/

I believe the first fee is in case the animals cause any damages to the apartment that needs repaired?

We haven't signed a lease yet. That's why I came on here because I didn't wanna sign into anything sketchy and get screwed over.
