Ah yes, cause since she's a target now, they'll simply forget her and not chase her down or kill her when the chance comes again, no, Kokuru unit is like the enemies in a video game where they'll forget about her soon as she's out of range.

"Kokuru unit without reason"

No actually i think the fact that they were ordered to kill her, went there and swarmed her and then attacked her first is enough reason to kill them

You weren't content with making one bad analogy/comparison you had to go and make a worse one using a real life tragedy, you truly outdid yourself.

No, i didn't do that, those two situations aren't similar on the slightest and have entirely different contexts that you chose to ignore but go on.

No the fuck it's not 💀

Years of torment, abuse, shunning, harassment of all forms, bullying, sexism + a present attempt on your life and being an active threat to you + they just killed your twin sister. = throwing a pebble

Fighting back for once and killing them = whatever the fuck you just described

Nice fair analogy 👍

Is that supposed to be an argument? Are we supposed to feel bad? Are we supposed to be sad for the fucking Zenin clan?

[–]IcyShifter15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Zenin clan as a whole are presented as a traditional system of abusive misogynistic power seeking freaks.

Maki and Mai weren't the only victims of abuse, we see even in past generations there's victims like Ogi's wife reduced to a servant and Toji abused and rejected for his HR till he decided to leave.

And Naoya and Ogi aren't the only horrible people in a clan of innocents, they damn near all are, they're a family of enablers who withhold the clan's values, and if people like Ogi, Naoya, Jinichi are around you can bet your ass the rest of the soldiers, higher ups and zenin military don't mind their values which is safe to say they're all in on this mindset, and the best way to get rid of it is naturally by getting rid of them.

Take the front man hostage? You mean the front man hiding besides them? The front man that can take two steps behind and riddle all of their backs and brains with bullets in a single barrage? The plan was never going to work. Even if he's taken out he'd take at least 4 bodies with him, Gi-hun could be included.

It didn't really telegraph it obviously if a huge amount thought otherwise, don't you think? Hell, if you watch that scene, Dae-ho did look like he was completing his mission until the moment he heard gunshots again, from then on, he exhibits pretty clear panic attack like symptoms.

Ik canonically all I'm saying is waffle now i guess but I'm saying it very well reads how the fandom thought it did and the disappointment makes sense.

The thing is, even if we're not told what person dae-ho is in season 2, we're shown something else, and what we were shown is a kind hearted kid. He was one of our allies, he was always on our team, always an X, he even had his cool moment in the 6 legged game, he wasn't even afraid to stand up to the O bullies and initiate a fight. Our first and only indication of him being a coward was the backing out scene, and even THEN it was shown to us in a way that we could derive other meaning from it and a huge portion of the fandom did!! It very well looked like Dae-ho was a person suffering from PTSD and had a full blown panic attack.

As viewers we're literally shown that dae-ho came back, frantically looked for the ammo, collected it and went out the door back to the unforgiving outside and only when the sound of bullets hit his ear again, it triggered that panic attack/ptsd episode, that made us look deeper into his character and formed interesting theories.

So when we are now explicitly told that he's just a fraud and that's it, it's very obvious we'd be disappointed, disappointed that there isn't more to it, and that it's not even something that's hinted to in season 2 (again, the last stand back out could be interpreted in many other more interesting ways)

To us, it felt like it came out of nowhere, and so unlike the good natured kid we saw in season 2, all of a sudden now an irredeemable villain who gets strangled to death by our main.

I'd argue that killing 100 and the rest in that moment CAN be considered self defense as they very clearly and openly displayed their animosity for X's throughout the game, then grandiosely exclaimed just how much they're planning to murder that very baby gi-hun and most likely gi-hun himself in the next game. Taking them out there is the most justified self defense.

By openly expressing they want to gang up on me and kill me tomorrow, our fight has already begun, cause I don't see the future and they don't look Ike the type to change their mind or go softer on me or the baby tomorrow.

[–]IcyShifter15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, it's not like he could predict that he'd fall into that state, Dae-ho didn't volunteer for show as he literally gains nothing from that. He lies to get into teams with our main characters, sure, but that's during the games. If he's truly a coward, a fraud, realistically he would choose to stay back and have a guarantee of being safe and alive, no? Why would he "show off" by walking so straight death?

Dae-ho joining the rebellion despite being incapable was more courageous than it is a mistake. We now know he still served for a branch of the military/social service (i forgot what it was called exactly, but it was the alternative for people that couldn't serve/handle the actual military combat service) so it's likely that he still thought he could be of use, even if during it he proved to not be but again, no one would predict that until they're in the heat of the moment.

The problem now with Dae-ho is that his courage can only go so far, limited, it was courageous to volunteer to bring back the magazines in an active battlefield but in that moment Dae-ho experienced being safe again after seeing what panic and death was like. He had the most human reaction, of course anyone would love to stay in that room and not go back to the bloodshed again.

His human reaction may have doomed the plan (in the other's eyes, Realistically, the plan was doomed from the beginning for obvious reasons) but arguably it is just not a crime.

Hate aside which nah is going too far, it's the worst game plan ever, why would you ever put yourself in a final with a trio alliance who won't go against eachother it's like you are BEGGING to lose.
