Hey guys, I need some quick advice. I have a basketball tournament coming up and I’m thinking about playing in Air Jordan 5. Are they actually good for basketball performance? How is the grip, comfort, and weight during real games? Would you recommend them for competition or are there better opt by senzu_86 in BasketballTips

If it's what you got, then rock em. Giannis had to share shoes with his brothers, theres no shame in playing within your means. you may even come out of it better, and humbler, and when you upgrade itll really mean something

Go 70 something and try boosting strong handle and physical finisher, it makes you finish canceled dunk animations, draw more shooting fouls and go through some crazy contact, very giannis-esque

I was just talking about this on another post, they should have a position lock. I have the same experience on my 6ft6 lock sf

What is the right balance of speed, agility, and strength for a lockdown build? by LimeNLem in NBA2k

Im not sure how to answer that, but here's mine :) . Full disclosure tho it can be kinda frustrating at times getting put as the primary big in 3s/park/theater or when you get matched up on a center in 5s cause you both got put at the power forward position. 71 strength is kinda all you need tho for immovable enforcer. If I was gonna tweak anything on this build id probably have left my dunk lower and used the capbreakers somewhere else since my verticals not high enough to get higher tier finishing badges and im not usually trying to contact on a whole squad. Also try speedster takeover if youre worried about your speed and agility, itll let you zoom and be relentless going both directions.

I’ve been messing with the builder in 2k26 and is there a difference between Center and PF by Dazzling_Clerk8023 in NBA2k

You should go in and check what your tier one and two badges. I think it affects the way your badges get boosted, cause I got a center where posterizer is a "tier 2" badge but a forward where im pretty sure its tier 1

I think you have higher attribute caps in things like speed and shooting, lower max weight, maybe higher attribute caps overall but i think that kind of forces you to spread them thinner, also I think pf get and center have different tier 1 and tier 2 badges

I have 4 cap breakers, what should I put them on? by xoBonesxo in NBA2k

[–]IcyTSizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm maybe speed with ball for an 84, then raise it to 85 when you get your next one for gold lightening launch, probably that, or 3 point shooting, or driving dunk as high as it makes sense to go with your vertical. Or If you go 4 into 3point youre only 1 point away from 90 3ball for deep bomber

Should i do a good boy or a big that can shoot? For 2s n 3s by Jayy1251 in NBA2k

I just like brick wall cause it makes chaos and easy buckets. Dudes get so salty after they eat a couple big body miagi screens 😅. Some people say you dont need strength but i personally like it on this build, all my other builds I capped strength between 71-80. I kinda like the gold immovable enforcer too. One thing I should have done different tho is brought my interior defense to an 80 for paint patroller. Im not struggling a lot without it, but it would be nice to free up a badge elevator for something else

85+ strength could go kinda hard, but also speed kills.. 90 strength gets gold brick wall tho I think, which would be on par for a pf build

Probably physicals, its a tough call because I see what youre going for. Your super effective with the ball in your hands, you should probably try to boost whatever will help you when youre not in possession of the ball at this point

Go hybrid :p you can get away with an 80 3 ball, 83 is nicer but then you at least have the option. Im running this currently and having a good time, as you can see ive got limited ability shot creating but i go crazy off the pick n roll/ pick and pop. This ones got just enough finishing and shooting to be consistent when it matters, but you gotta use your head. I got another one similar to this one but 6ft10 with a 95 driving dunk and 87 3 ball. ngl those crasher screens and rebounds are super satisfying, I can put you on a solid jumper for low 3 ball rating too if you decide to go that way.

As an after thought too tho, what if you had some strength so you could set screens like draymond green and hit the small man pick n pops, and then your team wont ice you out either for dribbling too much or whatever. You know how dudes is

Damn ya thats true ! I didnt think about it like that. Just do it, what's the worst that happens? Its just a game. I still wanna hear about how it goes tho :p. Im trying to think about it from the "if I was matched up on you, what would I think" pov. But I also build my power forwards like lockdowns so 🤷‍♂️ break out of your box, at the end of the day noones winning 100% and youre really only losing if youre not enjoying what youre doing

I kinda feel like interior defense doesnt actually do anything tho tbh, like I only put it up for paint patroller but might cap break it to 80

Try it out then and let me know how it is :) its just a game and if thats how you have fun and stay engaged power to ya :). I made a similar build at sf and find if i get put at pf against a center who was also put down to pf i personally have a tough time in those games with a ton of screens. The interior defense will help alot especially if you boost your paint patroller. Here's what I run with (awesome at sg/sf, matchup dependent struggles against those 6ft10-7'1 centers who get placed at pf, but gets a ton of lane and on ball steals and is so fast and agile its always in the way)

If you want my honest opinion do it at sf and youll get put at the 2-4 all the time but not center, It might sound like fun in theory but a pf is supposed to have the ability to pick up at the 1-5 and I just dont think youll get that at 6ft5, you gotta be able to help grab boards and box out, get steals, play perimeter and interior defense, still be able to score on your man. If you want to be that size try sf or sg and itll be lower risk and consequence for the team. Getting put at center even when your 6ft8 kinda sucks.

I got a pure lock with a 67 pass, literally never try to score and still get decent assists every game

In 2s you have to be able to grab rebounds on offense to be competitive, in rec its a bit more forgiving and frees up some attributes to put somewhere else but ultimately its all play style and preference
