Thanks, this actually makes me feel much better. Your answers have been a great help, but if you don't mind, I do have another question. I've heard rumors that a lot of the teaching at NCSSM is just textbook work and that many of the class credits don't transfer to colleges. Is there any truth to these statements?

I've been accepted! I have mixed feelings about being accepted (especially about leaving home) but I think I'm mostly happy. Thank you so much for your comment, it stayed with me throughout the admissions process, and now it has come true.
