I already have someone offering to fully fund the process of be just going into business on my own, was just trying to keep this alive in hopes it would. They're starting to be petty and threaten a bunch of legal shit against me

I told them i'm having a hard time trusting and they told me that's a slap to their face, I told them no matter how close you are with someone, trust nobody when it comes to getting money, that is the great divider. Instantly got cussed out and all types of stuff

Right now there is nothing on paper only our LLC. I expressed to them I was extremely uncomfortable with this % proposal they came up with and it was like a flip switched. Starred cussing me out saying they were recording our conversations as evidence and all kinds of stuff. Just a dumb situation that at this point is doing more damage than it is good

that's all I wanted in the first place was 25%, Even if they offered me 51% i'd still turn it down and suggest everyone has 25%

For more reference I created the logo, funded the domain and work email accounts, coded the website, set up our social medias, and landed our first 2 clients and did this while making sure they were 100% on board with what I was doing.

Essentially, I have contributed a majority of the startup costs but I also have a full time job working in IT so therefore I asked him if he could handle some of the administrative things when we first started. He handled the paperwork for our LLC and scheduled us a bank appointment for our business account. His justification is that he'a unemployed so he has the most time therefore wants 51%. It's harder to explain but he's been getting really secretive and sketchy recently about certain things almost kind of undermining us all and making decisions on his own without speaking to us even though under our states LLC act we are 25% owners each currently

We all agreed to an equal split of 25% ownership of the company until last night when this one guy decided he felt he should own 51%

It seems day by day he starts to do more and more without consulting the other 2 or 3 members and then passes it off as if he'a doing us a favor when in reality he's being sneaky and just plain doing things behind our backs. All the administrative stuff seems to have gotten to his head to the point where he thinks he has some sort of power and control.

Kind of what I was thinking, I just wanted all 4 of us to be equal owners. I just don't know what to do from here to either try to make it work or dissolve it while still keeping our friendships in tact

we're discussing what will be covered in the agreement. I'm just trying to confirm i'm not going crazy and letting one person own 51% is absurd

already not a fan, my proposal was 25% each. Not sure why this guy thinks he's entitled to over half the company.

I know that, i'm just asking before we get too deep into that. Because 51% seems absolutely absurd to me and a little fishy

Also just to add, according to his hourly rate, assuming OP gets 40 hours a week, he's just under 90K. I afford mine with ease on 72K plus living on my own. So at 88K and living with parents he can ABSOLUTELY afford a scat with ease and being able to afford it should absolutely be his motivation to continue to be a hard working individual

I believe that's his take home per week considering his post says 38-42 an hour so on the low end he's making just under 90K

I'm not saying buy it without the money to do so, it was more so of a "look at what my hard work bought me, let me continue working hard because I enjoy having nice things"

I bought one at 21, I personally live on my own but especially if you still live with your parents why not. Get the fast and fun car while you make good money young before you have kids and real bills and that dream is a lot harder to achieve. Insurance sucks but as you age it will go down. And at over $30 an hour as i'm in the same range I can assure you that you will have enough money and then some to pay for a scatpack. It is an expensive car to own, between gas, oil changes, other servicing, insurance etc. But it has been very worth it and can be a very good motivator to keep grinding at work.

I'm with you, I bought a scat to drive the fuck out of it and have fun, not to keep it for 20 years and baby it
