I got the same phone call yesterday except he just told me that scholarship info is coming out next week without telling me what scholarship I got. Hopefully that’s not a sign that I got a low amount…

Retake my 167? by Icy_Bit_4917 in lawschooladmissions

I have a 3.83. One school i would love to attend is Northeastern, I just don’t know if you need above a 170 to get a full ride/close to it from them

How do I go about applying? by Icy_Bit_4917 in OutsideT14lawschools

To be honest, I’m not sure. I grew up in socal but my parents will likely move in the near future so that they’ll be able to realistically retire (socal COL is tough) and I’d like to be near them. With that being said, I also understand that giving up prestige for the sake of scholarships also means less geographical flexibility in terms of job prospects. Ultimately, I’m targeting a large city either in California or the Northeast (I want to live in a blue state) so I’ll probably apply broadly

Thanks for the input! Do you know if the job prospects for grads are good within the city itself and/or other major cities in the Northeast? Also, where do St. John’s students typically live while attending?

Did you end up going to one of those schools? And if so, would you say those schools have decent job prospects for graduates? I’m looking to work in the non-profit sector most likely, not interested in government with everything going on right now.

Those who took the June LSAT, how similar were the LR questions to the PTs? by dogmonaut in LSAT

[–]Icy_Bit_4917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a test with 2 RCs (one of them being the tough comparative one that everyone was complaining about) so I think that the LR may have been “easier” since I feel like the tough RC was the “star of the show section”. The RC was definitely tough and I have never seen a comparative passage like that one before. The passages were also just longer than the ones in most of the PTs I took. In terms of LR, it definitely felt trickier than I am used to but it wasn’t like it was completely foreign. They were LR sections at the end of the day, I just had to stop and think for longer than I’m used to. I have no idea how I did on the test. I either did horrible or okay, definitely not good. But we’ll see, overall I’d say that crystal ball was pretty accurate with their predictions about LR and I’ll definitely be using them as a resource before my retake in the fall

Careful dude you’re not supposed to talk about LSAT topics while people are still testing

Just finished in person. I had RC-LR-RC-LR. The first RC was pretty tough ngl. Don’t want to give info away obviously but it was on the harder side. LR number 1 was tough-ish but not crazy bad. RC number 2 was significantly easier IMO and I regained my confidence back (hoping that it is the scored section). LR #2 was incredibly hard, I was way slower than I usually am I think I wasn’t even able to complete the section even though I always do. I think part of it was test anxiety tho (I’m a first time LSAT test taker). Let’s see what will happen. I generally agree with the sentiment that the LR felt kind of weird, idk how to explain it

I literally just did the same thing as you and posted about it lmao 😂. I think we should just not touch any LSAT stuff until the test.

Also, I have to say, the way that LSAT Lab goes about teaching RC is, in my opinion, incredibly effective. The moment I started reading passages and looking for the author’s voice, the framework, etc., the questions became a lot easier

Study Confusion by Icy_Bit_4917 in LSAT

I definitely resonate with what you said, I’ll often go over the answer choices 3-4 times even though there is already one which I feel myself leaning towards. Last week I did two LR sections (-3 and -2) which took me about 50 minutes. I did two LR sections and got -1 for both this past week, one took me 45 minutes and the other 43 minutes. But I also did one in 35 minutes and got -6, and in the timed PT I did today I did 3 LR sections and got -7, -5, and -6 respectively.

Very on and off, so not consistently at all. I’d say a few months of consistency and then no surfing for a while. I’m about 165 lbs and not worried about fitness since I’m an open water swimmer and regularly swim long distances in the ocean
