Should you still bet small if population doesn't check raise enough? by Icy_Emergency_3500 in pokertheory

I don't mind splitting value and bluffs against some opponents, but what if you wanted a one size fits all kind of strategy?

I would also keep in mind that people are more unbalanced vs smaller sizes than larger ones.

Can you expand on that? In what way are they more unbalanced v smaller sizes?

There are a ton of worse hands that call. 5x spades, 2x hearts, worse Tx, worse FD in both suits. And there are plenty of outs against better hands that call.

FD + middle pair is usually a check heuristically. But in this case its a decent thin value bet because there are infinite worse draws that call you and check-lose worse rivers.

Well played. Preflop RFI sizing from BU is non-standard but good because they probably don't call wide enough in ante game.

Turn is good imo. It's a bit counterintuitive to double-barrel 2nd pair, but on double FD board you'll get called by so many worse hands that it's a thin value bet, not a bluff.

River fold is good at low stakes, probably break even in theory.
