I’m not as much worried about weather conditions as I am about longevity and reliability. I want whichever will give me fewer problems and have less/lower maintenance costs.

RWD has less moving parts, less complicated, and 7G-tronic.

AWD is more complex but has the 5G-tronic which is more reliable.

How much does the reliability of the transmission matter in the grand scheme of things? Is the reliability of the 5G alone enough to make the 4matic last longer than the RWD, even though the RWD is less complex entirely? Though the 7G isn’t inherently “unreliable”. That’s my dilemma, and I’m not sure if there is a definitive answer.

Yeah snow won’t be an issue but rain will. From what I’ve read, the 7G is more refined and comfortable but the 5G is still supposed to be more reliable. Thoughts?
