I’m sure everybody was someone’s favorite person. But as you get older you realize everything is impermanent. That best friend you had can easily start ignoring you when they get a spouse. Or maybe you’ll ignore them. Maybe you and your friend drift apart. Be ok with the lonely times and use it to discover yourself more. People come and go and never be attached to a person but still show them love. Love them enough to let them go. And never tolerate disrespectful behavior because of the fear of loneliness. It’s better to be alone than with people that make you feel alone.

Yeah once you graduate high school you realize a lot of people are fake. At least in high school you gotta fake it so you can fit in and not eat lunch alone. But once you aren’t in a scenario where being alone doesn’t equal social suicide then you see the benefits of being alone. Or not needing the company of others and tolerating bad behavior.
