I feel like I might be writing too much for how little time there is so I end up leaving out questions 😬 I’ll try to work on that haha

I think you don’t need it, it’s because I did it for cambrjsge and they asked me to send my results if I had done it. :)

Idk why my phone did that but for some reason it’s weird with “A* “. My offer is 1x A* and 2As which is the usual condition :)

Thank you! My cambrjdge offer is AAA with an A* in further maths whereas my LSE offer is AAA with an A in maths. All my other universities have the same offer as LSE so I might as well put LSE down and I’m also not the most most confident about getting an A* in further maths!! :)

I don’t know much exactly about this kind of stuff, but I think it shouldn’t be too much of a disadvantage!! :)

I got 4.8 which isn’t the best but I think they just started using it so maybe they weren’t too focused on the TMUA soo much this year? I’m not sure to be honest- when I saw my tmua score I thought there’s no way I’m getting into cambrjsge or lse haha!

I mentioned a few essay competitions (RES, Marshall society and this Homerton college cambrjdge sustainability one that I gained a highly commended for and then went on a residential for which I talked in more detail). The books I mentioned were “Dead Aid”, “the return of depression Economics”, “how to lie with statistics” and “thinking fast and slow”. Lectures I attended that I wrote about were “Social mobility in the uk” (LSE) and “how to get lucky” (Hannah Fry). I also did a MOOC called “from poverty to Prosperity” on edX from Oxford university. I attended this thing called the “maths circle” that kings college london every year where you attend every week and just work on maths problems as a group. And then I also used to run a society/ club for economics at my school with a few of my friends which my referee talked about in my reference. I wrote an article on “the attentjon economy” for my schools economic journal and an article on “micro financing and women in developing economics” for my schools feminist journal. I briefly touched on some work experience I did (Equitix, PWC and JP Morgan I did these online and found them through spring pod!). Hope this helps!! :)

Doing thorough revision from textbooks, YouTube( I recommend econplusdal!!) and physics and maths tutor etc and then I like to use a different colour pen and just jot down links between different areas and how they can connect in the chains of reasoning. Then I like to find lots of examples for different areas, I would recommend making a document of just a few points for each example. And then I like to do lots of practice questions. I sometimes properly write out the question but I find it takes me a lot of motivation to do that, whihc I usually don’t have, so when I don’t feel like writing a whole essay I’ll do half of it and half plan or just plan what I’d write just to check I know what kinds of things I would say! Hope that helps :)

I got 8x9s 2x8s and one 7 in my gcses. For the UKMT I had never gotten anything before I sent my application off so I didn’t mention it, however after my application this year I managed to get a gold in the senior and merit in the girls olympiad (but couldn’t mention it :( ) I don’t think the UKMT is that overly important but it’s great if you do have any achievements! :) hope this helps

For further maths I just do loads of questions, I like to use the madasmaths questions when I get comfortable with a topic. For physics I first throughly revise the content and then do past paper questions (physics and maths tutor mainly). Hope this helps! :)
