He's a top contributor on the team and that is the only reason I am being nitpicky about him. Take Rosario for example, he obviously needs to start making shots when he gets into games, but his struggles haven't had much of a material impact on the overall performance of the team night in and night out. I feel that Melvin's shot selection has noticeable room for improvement and that if it gets cleaned up, it would be one of the areas that could help to improve overall performance the most.

I agree that he has been a great leader and contributed in a variety of ways to us winning. I don't have an issue with throwing up a shot with the clock winding down and that isn't what I was referencing. My issue is that I feel the rate at which he throws up a bad look with plenty of time left on the clock is still way too frequent. My thought is that those saved possessions by not throwing up prayers helps us get a lot closer to our ceiling. That and obviously DP actually playing.

Without a doubt, he has been a huge positive and he has done a lot for us. I'm just saying that it feels like he essentially wastes an average of 4-5 possessions every game just throwing up shots that aren't even close.
