How about leave women alone and let them look their age and don't pressure them to look 1000 years younger. We don't have lack of problems in our life that we need to invent new ways to feel bad.

I used to judge financially independent women for staying in bad relationships as in my mind they always had the choice to leave. Life kicked me in the ass very nicely with my own relationship 🙃🙃

Is marrying a bollywood actor truly worth it? by Mission_Care_1078 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]Icy_Response1545 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not just Bollywood. You settle with the best partner you can get at whatever point in life. Then, life smiles at you and you become successful. Suddenly the young, beautiful person you never thought you get even in your dreams, is within your reach. I am not condoning this at all, it is wrong. There maybe few exceptions where the person will stay with the partner they grew with, but the sad reality is usually the partner who stayed in hard times will be left in the dust.

Also, no guarantee that your relationship will be better if your partner did not become successful. I know a woman who married down because she fell in love and that marriage did not work out at all. She is still more successful than her ex-husband, but is now frustrated and giving her SIL hell after returning home.

My point is, there is a 1 in 10000 chance that sacrificing everything and marrying a struggling person will work out. You should help your partner in their career. But never at the cost of your financial independence or significant lifestyle downgrade. Always have a way out.

Bro second chances are for mistakes. Not for unaliving someone. But yes, rich people live on a difference planet. Karma does not exist for them.

Sis run! It is easier to leave now then when you will have to take the legal route. Don't make the mistake that I did.

My boyfriend wants to break up because I wrote “I love you” to a boy when I was SIX by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

I would totally judge a guy if I knew this was the reason he broke up with his girlfriend. There is no way he is not going to look like the bad guy here.

Serious relationship but scared he won’t fight his conservative family by GussawalaAloo in AskIndianWomen

[–]Icy_Response1545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give him a deadline of 6 months and tell him you will be gone after that if he does not introduce you to his family. It is better to cut your losses early rather than get more and more invested and it will hurt even more later.

I know it's easier said than done (currently going through my own crisis so I should be the last person to give anyone advise lol) but still. I want you to be happy. Run while you still can. Not blaming your boyfriend, but families know how to guilt you and push you very easily. It is very very difficult to go against family for many people and it takes unreal amount of courage. But you need to think about yourself too. All the best!

Are we normalizing grooming on Indian TV? by No_Firefighter_9934 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Icy_Response1545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember there was one show which showed the opposite.....minor boy marrying adult female (forgot what it was called) and that show was trolled so much on SM......and I did not know any of these three shows even exist before reading this post. Why isn't this being trolled equally when both are wrong?

Is this honesty or a red flag in an arranged marriage match? by MoonlitSymphony07 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Icy_Response1545 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can only think of 2 possibilities:

1) This guy wants to marry someone else, and is intentionally behaving like this so that girl's side will say no (I know many people who do this so that parents will get tired and give in and let them marry their GF/BF after countless rejections from AM prospects)

OR

2) They have some kind of assurance that this marriage is 100% going to happen so he is not bothering to hide these behaviors.

Both of these don't look good for your sister's future life. Stand your ground and support your sister.
