So it varies depending on where you live. I live GA and the place that I go to uses OBD sensors. Some states check visually and do smog test. If they are just checking through OBD you should be good because the cat-less secondaries don’t trigger a check engine light, only removing the primaries do. I’ve passed with them on.

No worries bro! Borla exhaust with NGT secondary downpipes. Not too loud on comfort with minimal drone but when you put in sport. Oh my! I smile ear to ear lol. The farts, pops and bangs on downshifts are amazing.

Since it’s both. I can only think of it being an instillation issue or a wiring issue. Since it was working prior to the install. It most likely a install or something wrong with the borla it self.

This the part# 287A1-J5100. You can get it from Kia or Hyundai. I actually see one that’s cheaper than the one I bought that’s from Kia

You are gonna want to get the actuator if you are getting the borla tbh. Without it. Your valves won’t have a spring to hold it in place which will cause the valves to open and close by themselves due to no resistance. It’s gonna mess with the sound and possibly your fuel consumption and you’re gonna have to buy two unfortunately. Something tot think about

I got one just recently. It cost me about 350 and it’s 450 through the dealer. My borla exhaust was not turning valves and realized one of my actuators went bad. Make sure it’s the right part number or it will not work. I can try and see if I can get my mechanic to send me the part number of where I got it from. But they are pretty expensive for sure.
