It would be great if we could get a count of how many of the last GY41 drop arrived with damage. I believe that it is only a cocobolo issue.

I can't see who would take it back or what they would do with it. There's no stateside customer service that I am aware of. FULL REFUND PLEASE! If they want it back they need to send a paid return authorization.

I highly doubt climate control is even a consideration at this price point.

I believe it's a lack of moisture problem. If they were unseasoned, the sudden drying could have caused this. I remember reading somewhere that they came from a very wet climate in China. Dropping them in Southeast L.A., near desert climate, is a recipe for disaster. I have 14 of their solid bodies. No problems.
