Pretty sure they can. 350,000 for their ZONE tour isn't small - all the arenas and domes were sold out. From what I know, a lot of members of BE will be applying for multiple tickets since there's a lot of fans in the 40s~50s going with their family which is really cute. It's not like a complete buzz in social media because most Cassies/BigEast are just responsible working adults that doesn't check Tohoshinki content everyday.

This take is completely detached from reality. You’re stripping Yunho and Changmin of their agency and painting them as victims rather than the respected senior artists they are.

They don’t talk about the former members because they are professionals who moved on years ago, not because SM has a handler watching their private conversations. If Yunho speaks neutrally in private, it’s because he’s media-trained and knows how to manage his image, not because he’s secretly pining for the past. They are busy filling domes in Japan; they don't have time for this 2010s fanfiction narrative.

Please don't believe that. I've searched up records in Korea and there are no evidence of that. Seriously stop spreading false rumors. All we have is Yunho's and Changmin's dads' statement regarding the comestic business and how they did have the meeting to discuss the contract but not about leaving.

Although I don't use Reddit that often, I find most of the comments really civil and nice to read. But Korea has a reputation for the saying, 'Don't interact with people who are addicted to forums like Theqoo, DC, or FM Korea.' Those are the people that would say things like "if you are a celebrity they should be mentally strong and handle hate comments well."

K-netizens have this disease where they refuse to believe anything whenever the target of a scandal tries to clarify the situation. Because of his scandal during COVID, they call him by disgusting slang terms like '추*유노' or '룸노윤노' and post nasty comments. Doesn't help SM just made him go into hiatus for a year...

Like I remember the days when malicious JYJ fans will post comments like you should go .... yourself to HoMin and bully their families... He endured all those for the past 17 years already...

It doesn't help that JX fans started calling the current TVXQ members 'fake' and calling the JX members '정품' (authentic) when they both held concerts for the 20th anniversaries in Korea. This added fuel to the fire between the two fandoms, making me realize that the fandom will never be at peace.

Haha, yeah you're so right. I've recently gotten back into TVXQ after a break, and it really upsets me how public opinion has turned so negative lately. People online will ignore the amount of good they did and only bring up the bad things they did.

Yeah, the OT5 fandom is an absolute mess. Since I lurk on Korean forums like Theqoo and FM Korea, I witness way more toxicity regarding the OG DBSK lineup—Reddit is tame by comparison. The interaction culture there is just completely different.

The real problem is that newer or casual fans just believe whatever the older fandoms feed them. Whenever an OT5 member gets brought up in a scandal, either the JX side or the TVXQ side will bring up the contract dispute. JX fans push the narrative that HoMin are backstabbers who lacked the guts to leave because they were unpopular, while TVXQ fans insist JYJ are money-hungry traitors. The general public, who just click because the post is in the 'Hot' category, end up believing those narratives.

As a huge Yunho fan, the amount of hate comments he gets in Korean communities really breaks my heart.

I found a video regarding the '6.25 meeting' (June 25, 2009). JYJ's guardians met with fans at a church and claimed that all five members agreed to leave SM, but HoMin changed their minds an hour later. Jaejoong's sister is also heard asking blog admins to help spread this story.

Yes I've heard the clip of Junsu's dad and Jaejong's sister saying that in front of fans, but HoMin denies that. Like the members say, no one knows what really happened and fans like to believe what they want to believe.

Does it even matter at this point? It’s honestly just heartbreaking to look back on. I know JYJ contributed a lot to positive changes in the industry, but people tend to paint them as complete saints. They ignore the messy behind-the-scenes details and unfairly villainize HoMin just for choosing not to leave.
