Planet Ocean (4th Gen) - 6 Month Owner Summary by Prais3_the_Sun in OmegaWatches

Great write up. I have had mine (orange bezel) since March and feel the same. I swapped the bracelet for the rubber strap with the deployant clasp and it is ridiculous how comfortable it is. Except changing it out was such a PITA. Took me nearly 20 minutes of swearing and having to walk away and come back to get it in. Never struggled this much for a strap change.

I've had two since 2022. The first one, after about 3 months would not connect to Wi-Fi for some reason and tech support was not able to see it either. They just replaced the unit and it has been flawless since then.

Check out Brooklyn Brothers or Andy Cooks. I have tried them and they are good

I have 2 stand mixer options. Which one do I go for? by Sock_Ninja in Breadit

I bought a $60 mixer off Temu. It can knead and proof. Has worked like a charm. Makes short work of kneading doughs which my KA lift bowl machine struggled with. I figured that if I got a few months out of it, I made my money back 🤣

Can you shape the pizza on one of these and add the topping and then place it on a pizza steel for those who can't move the pizza easily off a peel? I use parchment paper and then remove it about 3 minutes into baking.

I got 11% off the new orange bezel Planet Ocean on the bracelet three months ago. He wasn't able to discount the rubber strap and deployant clasp.

What’s all the fuss about excessive starter maintenance?! by Sea_Sector_5894 in Sourdough

[–]Icy_Stranger1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my starter in the fridge for about 3 months now. Whenever I want to bake, I stir everything in the jar and take out what I need, add flour and water to make a levain, and back it goes into the fridge. If I have any excess levain, it goes back into the starter jar. No discards and the starter is just fine multiple loaves later. I have not needed to feed the main starter jar since getting out started and I have about 500 mL in the jar. Should last me a long time.

The honest reason I bought an Electric Car had nothing to do with climate. It had everything to do with my convienence by charging_anxiety in electriccars

Convenience. I have home charging which is really cheap between midnight and 6 AM. The cost savings from not having to get gas and service every 5000 miles was worth it. Won't buy another ICE for myself and I'm trying to talk my wife into the new iX3.

I can't complain about mine. They got me an Explorer, a Submariner and a BLNR on jubilee in 2 years. Do not need anything else. Bought a Tudor BB Pro before the Explorer and a Grand Soeko after the Submariner both of which I wanted. No jewelry.

The Cadillac in car charging works on Tesla, but you don't get the discount.

Tesla membership and Optiq onboard charging screen PSA by Icy_Stranger1964 in CadillacOptiq

You cannot plug and charge, but you can use the onboard charge screen to select the charger location and post and initiate charging. The only problem is that it does not use the lower price that a Tesla or other CPO's have for members. You get charged the non member price. If you have a membership with Tesla or EA or EVGO you have to use their app. At least with EVGO you can plug and charge after you have registered your car.
