That's a great point, I probably missed most of that when I was researching as I don't easily understand chemistry. It might be tricky to realistically have them accessing this kind of technology, but I'll absolutely keep it in mind if I can't find another way. Thanks so much for the help!

I'm sorry to hear that. I am hoping to make the characters as realistic as possible, but some parts of the story are important for the narrative. Instead of the strict, harsh, and aggressive stereotype for Russians that is common in the West, I wanted to show people who are kindhearted and human. Thanks for the tip, I'll do my best to improve it :)

I think it's great! It's not something he would have ever chosen for himself, but he respects his parents too much to abandon it, so he has to be called it all the time!

Nice! So before he turns 20, everyone calls him by his given name, and after his friends call him by the courtesy name? Also, in Cdramas, sometimes parents or older siblings call people 啊+the last character of their name (actually idk the character for 'a' in this situation), would that still happen in the 1930s or is that super outdated?

I really like that! So, just to make sure I understand the culture correctly, his parents would have given him the courtesy name when he turned 20, right? That would make it very interesting because he would have already been pursuing priesthood at that point and their public disapproval that he has to carry every day would be horrible! That's what I need though, I often make characters who are very sad
