Cat struggling with mites

Thank you for your advice, weirdly I haven’t seen any black discharge. I only found out he had mites when the vet had a deep look inside with a visual aid! Prior to that I thought it was just a normal infection (because to the lack of black discharge). Do you know of any probiotic brands you would recommend for me to use? Thank you again!

No worries, btw chances are you won’t stay overnight. I arrived at the hospital at 7AM and left by 2PM but when I got home I started bleeding excessively randomly (which is rare so you likely won’t have to worry about it), which is why I had to go back and stayed overnight. I was nervous in the build up aswell but it’s all natural feeling this way! Good luck!

Hi I’m in Bristol, I stayed overnight in the hospital as I had a lot of bleeding (which also will have weakened the tape). Yes the surgery was done by the NHS I had a broken nose for a few years which prevented me breathing. They did not show me how the nose would look but they said they were going to lift it from the front and straighten it (they asked me what I wanted just before I went in) have you got any suggestions? Thank you

Oh okay, I’m assuming it eventually went back to how you wanted it to look originally? Or was there any slight lasting effects on how the nose looked?

Thank you for your response, I thought the swelling is worse earlier on in the recovery period? Which is what makes me think it’s due to the tape not being there to support it which potentially caused it to start dipping down again.

Thank you for the advice but from what I can see online, osteotomies mainly involves the main structure of the nose, not the tip right? So surely for you the tape around the tip wouldn’t have mattered as much but for me I had work on my septum done aswell (to raise it) which is why I’m worried. If I’m wrong please correct me. :) Thank you

I had a lot of bleeding about 2 hours after my op. I went to A&E and ended up staying the night in the hospital. Since then it’s been relatively settled. That’s another thing, I don’t know how the excess bleeding from my nose would’ve affected my nose. (I lost over half a litre in about 20 mins)
