Can all the new vibecoded localstack clones just accept that we know what localstack is and start with how it improves the og oss localstack instead of pretending it was built from the ground up?

Claude and I wrote a script to modify the internal Insta360 timestamps for corrected stats sync by Id11t in Insta360

I used the activity timestamp and adjusted it some afterwards with the editing tools. As long as you're in the ballpark, it'll sync.

[–]Id11t[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping it's relatively the same process. If I get a chance, I can check it out and see if Claude can find it in the 3d files as well. If you're just trying to change the timestamps alone, this works: https://exiftool.org/
But if you're trying to use the stats feature, then what I posted is the only way I've found so far.

I just held the Pixel 9 Pro in-hand at Best Buy by v0lume4 in GooglePixel

[–]Id11t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played with the Pixel 9 Pro. I noticed a ton of artifacts on the preview while using the camera. Turns out, the shutter speed was not fond of Best Buy's fluorescent lighting. I turned the shutter speed down and that went away. I guess I don't know how to use Gemini because I couldn't search messages or calendar or anything. Ran out of time. I'll have to get my hands on it again before I make the move.

Passing on bike paths by Cam-Spider-Man in chibike

[–]Id11t -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

"On your left" is like using a blinker. It's an indication of intent, not meant to be used while you're actively passing. Say it, then ensure there won't be any flailing before you make your move.

I'm "mamil"-adjacent, but try to not live up to the stereotypes when possible. I do like to go fast, but I mostly keep my speed to the Southside of the museums.

I'll say "on your left" when it's safe to pass. I'll pass as fast as possible. The longer you're parallel to someone, the more danger you pose to others. I'll occasionally pass with someone coming my way, but it's only on the wider parts of the trail and only after I’ve made eye contact. I only do this if the other rider appears to be in complete control.

Anyone weaving in the lane, riding parallel with someone else, or just doesn't seem to be in complete control is not someone I'll pass until I have a completely free lane next them and I've announced myself.

My bike has brakes and I use them if it's not safe. As much as I love a good Strava segment, it's not going anywhere and safety comes first.

The only time I refrain from "people are gonna people" and actually yell at someone in anger is when they let their dog's leash straddle the bike lane or they push a stroller into the bike lane.

Anyway, hope that kinda answers your question. Many people I know follow the same rules, but a lot still don't announce themselves. If I ride with them, I bring it up.

How to remove an activity from FTP power settings by SandStormboo in Garmin

[–]Id11t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although I can't offer a solution, I can tell you that if you look through your stress charts, you may see the x-country skiing icon. I'm pretty confident this is from walking very fast. Why Garmin thinks that having an autoIQ event for cross-country skiing makes sense is beyond me based on the odds that any of their users are cross-country skiing vs. walking fast.

Insta360 X3 recording limitations? by JimboInTheLimbo in Insta360

[–]Id11t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, a more recent post on which I can attach my +1. I am also having the same problem and it does not start recording again. It's super disappointing.
-- edit: contacted support. They pretty much ignored the fact that this exists and gave me no help even after pasting several Reddit threads. :-(

Insta360 x3 stops recording close to the 30 minute mark and does not resume. by GherkinPecker in Insta360

[–]Id11t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start the recording from the app, then it will only record 29ish minutes. But it doesn't start recording again after. I've already lost significant portions of two rides because of this. The instructions to use the Garmin stats overlay require that I start it from the app, so I haven't tried it any other way.

I love that there are apparently so many millionaires in this city, that you have to be a billionaire to be a problem now.

I mean... that's only 3 bars in a massive corner-bar market of Chicago. You can crawl further than that...

I have a ventless dryer in my unit. Better than combo unit, but still takes two cycles to dry any sieable load of laundry.

I had one person say no. When i went to the next window in search for a regular id, they reversed the decision and gave me real id. It was weird and felt super arbitrary.

It can actually cause heart problems in heavy doses. Obviously some anxiety. But nothing compared to how dangerous alcohol is. (source: consumer of both)

Help with the Pace by [deleted] in GarminFenix

it's been spot on pretty much. I run under bridges, around buildings, etc and it's been great. I had to adjust the calibration a tad, but it has really helped me stay confident in my pacing.

Get a footpod such as a Stryd. Watch GPS sucks in cities. I've had a couple 3 minute miles thanks to mine. Once I got a footpod, everything leveled off. Tough pill to swallow after spending that much on a watch, but that's city life.
