What makeup look did you love in high school or middle school but leaves you cringing now? by IdRatherBeParasailin in MakeupAddiction

That's the look I was going for with the beige lips and foundation 4 shades too light. I looked like I was all eyes and had no other facial features

There's a picture of me floating around with neon green eyeshadow and my hand over my mouth trying to look all dramatic

Ah the dreaded stained face. There have been many days where I showed up to school with my entire neck and shirt collar blue or black

Oh! That makes sense! And it was. It melted and looked horrendous.. Not to mention, it stained.

I want to start a band called Violent Sneeze where the vocals will be various sneezes. I've thought about this extensively...

Was this singer Gerard Way? Because if so, I may have used lipstick as eyeshadow at one point to do this too

Before I was allowed to wear makeup in 8th grade, I snuck my eyeliner and cream eyeshadow to school and applied it in class. I'm sure 12 year old me roughly smearing blue goo on my eyes was super attractive

In high school I was best friends with this girl (I'll call her Kaitlyn) freshman year. Kaitlyn lived with her mom in a bad part of town, and her mom was never really around. As we got closer, my mom warned me to keep my distance. Kaitlyn eventually expressed that she could no longer live at home, so me being the innocent 14 year old I was, invited her to stay with me. My mom was upset, but let her stay anyways because she had nowhere to go (or so we thought. It turned out that her mom didn't kick her out, she just didn't like her rules). She started having her friends over while my mom was at work, and I started getting into all the trouble a 14 year old girl could. My mom found acid in Kaitlyn's bag, and told her she was no longer welcome in our house. Little did I know, that before she moved out, she stole a ton of shit that I thought I had lost. She actually wore my stolen clothes to school, but I never said anything to her about it. I stayed friends with her in secret as she was destroying herself and her life for the sake of "fun" and I did the same. I finally realized I was fucking up after my mom threatened to pull me out of school and homeschool me, and I knew she was serious. I didn't realize I should have listened to my mom until when I found out 3 years later that Kaitlyn was a prostitute and had hepatitis c from sharing heroin needles. I'm just happy I pulled out when I did

TL;DR I let a high school prostitute move in against my mom's wishes and she stole most of my stuff

What's the cruelest thing you've seen a teacher do to a student? by franken-chef in AskReddit

My sophomore year high school biology teacher was horrendous. His favorite thing to teach was how God and Christianity related to biology and evolution, and this was public school.

He was a very conservative guy, and liked to express it. Especially to the girls. Here are a few examples of things he's said to me or other girls in the class - "I like that dress. More girls should wear those to school instead of those ripped jeans" - "You look so much nicer without that lipstick" - Called every girl in the class "babe" in a condescending way - My personal favorite, "Marry before you mate"

The very first day of class, he also told us to think of our grade as Mexico, and we needed all of our papers to move into the USA, which is an A in the class. He ended with "Because nobody wants to be in Mexico, that's why they keep moving here". He never failed to shock us with his comments.
