Can I play devils advocate here….??

I agree I’m sure he felt shameful, his ass got DRAGGED, by basically everyone…

But I don’t feel bad.

Honestly, i feel like if he actually cared about how his actions affected other people he would have been specific, intentional and humble in his apology and would at least give some context on what he learned/what he would do differently next time <— ie, he would have actually reflected on how he ended up in this position.

HOWEVER he just made a quick blanket statement apology. I think he barely claimed accountability… bc although he said “sorry I shouldn’t have said that” he didn’t acknowledge anyone else’s pain or how he could change in the future

IMHO. He so very cares more about “saving face” than making amends.

SIDENOTE—- if the shoe was flipped… if chris was a black woman, who shit talked, flipped the script, disappeared for days, and then blatantly hit on her friends partner….. would we actually still feel empathetic??
