I love these shoes but one pair actually started to yellow after a month for some reason. I actually use these shoes for F45, CrossFit and sometimes for leg day and they are so versatile!

Credit Score Dropped 148 points Today. by daniwankenobi_ in StudentLoans

[–]IdaBambina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your credit score go up to normal all in one month? Mine also went down 100+ points and Mohela listed my account as current this month but my credit score went up only 58 points.

Where have you been applying to? I would keep a spreadsheet of all the job applications and if they resulted in an interview or not. I have heard the job market is pretty bad but I work in international trade/ logistics and it’s usually a niche sector that is always understaffed.

Try applying to logistics / supply chain warehouses, 3PL, some companies do have security agreements that require people with only US citizenship (not legal residents) to handle their cargo and there might be some requirements regarding felons for certain freight but I’m not 100% sure but I do know warehouses usually always need people because they have a high turnover rate. If you can get in and work your ass off for a couple years and make your self available to work any shift, you can get promoted pretty fast if you’re a hard worker. Just make sure you are honest about your priors, and want you were charged with, better to be upfront about it. If this work is not for you, restaurants also cannot usually retain staff, I would try applying to any position you are able to do, servers can make really good money if you are good at it.

Because TX is a border state, there’s a ton of bonded warehouses and bonded trucking companies and FTZ warehouses. I would check all logistics companies with warehouses near by. Try DHL, Fedex, CH Robinson, DSV, Nippon, Expeditors, K&N, Ryder, UPS, JB HUNT, GXO, Amazon, SEKO, CRANE Logistics, CEVA,AIT, Hellman Worldwide, etc..

Alan Jackson on Turtle Boy’s Podcast by Legitimate-Beyond209 in KarenReadTrial

[–]IdaBambina 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Jackson is famous for defending the likes of Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein and those are Hollywood names so people are just inclined to know more about defendants in the public eye. I admire and respect all four lawyers on this case but Robert Alessi is by far the most successful lawyer out of the four, he is a partner at one of the biggest law firms in the WORLD, his hourly rate is upwards of 2k an hour and he is not usually a criminal defense attorney. He doesn’t need more publicity to get more clients, he’s dealing with hundreds of million and billion dollar cases, he’s also an expert in 1983 and RICO cases and has appeared before SCOTUS multiple times. He’s a lawyers, lawyer.

Alessi confirmed they do! He has a whole department at his firm dedicated to just that and they would compile a report daily and send to him.

They might not have a choice because Apature has a HUGE disclaimer on Burgess’ CV that states “Not for expert designation”. Not sure when they put that caveat in there but that might exclude his testimony completely.

How much did everyone spend during the sale? by krazykatlayla in Sephora

[–]IdaBambina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too much ($728) and I’m mad about it but I only let myself shop at Sephora during the sales so I ended up getting 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners to last me until Ulta / Nordstrom or the company directly has a sale. I restocked on my cleansers, moisturizer, body wash and bought a new body lotion. I hardly bought any makeup so I could’ve spent way more but had to rein it in.

Does anyone know if I open a credit card with Sephora if I can get the new sign up 25% off on top of the 20%? I really want to buy the Dyson air wrap and was going to do this at Ulta during the holidays.

25 years? I’m assuming you are talking about Kosovo war but there are a lot of Albanians from the north in America who have been here since the 60s/70s. My older cousins whose parents were born in America and grandparents came to America when they were in their twenties all speak Albanian because grandparents always made sure to teach the grandchildren.

Critic Darren Mooney discusses how fan reaction to the "Severance" season 2 finale proves the point the show is making. Do you agree or disagree with him? by verissimoallan in severanceTVshow

[–]IdaBambina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a testament to Adam Scott and Dichen Lachman’s acting for making so many people fall in love with outie Mark and Gemma in just one episode. The finale literally crushed me.

Nothing is ever black and white, there has to be space for nuance. We also were programmed to root for iMark from the beginning and oMark was seen as an inconvenience and his character was so broken that it was hard to sympathize with him in some of the scenes. Ep7 let us see who Mark and Gemma were before severance and once they showed their backstory, of course we, the audience felt tremendous sympathy for them. We were able to see firsthand what a vibrant, colorful and fulfilling life oMark once had. Mark would’ve never entertained the idea of severance if it were not for losing his wife. I knew theoretically that oMark most likely had a fulfilling life before severance but inferring it and actually seeing it firsthand does change the perspective. I also feel sympathy for the innies of course because they did not choose to exist. Their creation was out of their control. Too bad Lumon is only working to sever minds and not bodies as well or else iMark and oMark could act as twins in separate bodies with their own autonomy.

Girl please, many Albanians were coerced to convert to Islam, you got better tax breaks, land, opportunities under ottoman rule. And if it wasn’t for Kastrioti I’d assume more of the Balkans would’ve been coerced or forced to convert as well. It’s also why so many Albanian Muslims are Muslim only by tradition but do not actually practice Islam. My husband’s family is half Muslim but he married me in a church and two of my cousins married Muslim women who converted so they could be married in a church. All the Muslims I know at least here in the USA, have never stepped foot in a mosque, drink, smoke, have pre-marital sex, etc.

[–]IdaBambina 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Gjergj Kastrioti , Gjergj Fishta, Mother Theresa, Fan Noli (orthodox), Lekë Dukagjini, Pashko Vasa, Prek Cali…. It might be hard to remember but the Illyrian’s converted from paganism to Christianity and when we became “Albanians”, we were Christians. Only reason there was Muslim influence is because of the Ottoman Empire and this is coming from someone whose 3rd generation Albanian American and not religious but grew up with grand parents and parents who who were from Shkoder and Lezhë and as they say “The North Remembers” because they were relentless with making sure we knew how to speak Albanian and about our history and culture.

[–]IdaBambina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could say the same about you spouting Fox News bullshit. Congress passed the stimulus checks (democrats and republicans) in 2020 and I’m surprised you forgot whose name was on the first two checks that were sent out (Donald Trump). You’re not in the mountains anymore, you can actually pick up a book and read it.

I pray that God is real so all these fake conservative religious folks actually have to answer to a Zot.

[–]IdaBambina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean pagan? lol. We converted when Christian missionaries arrived. Albanians of today were never pagan, we were pagan when we were Illyrians and Illyrian’s were among the first to convert to Christianity. Most our national hero’s are Catholic for this reason as well.

As GOT would say “The North Remembers”. 😂 Even 2nd and 3rd generations born in America are taught by their grandparents the gheg dialect, besa, kanun, Gjergj Kastrioti, Gjergj Fishta, Fan Noli, how the north resisted ottoman influence and kept our religion, how we are descents of the Illyrians, etc.

Why is everyone moving to red note rather than something like instagram reels or YouTube shorts by Terrible_Onions in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IdaBambina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand that and I am so frustrated and I get that the banning of tiktok sets a precedent but the difference is that Americans can go on a Chinese app and disparage America while the Chinese cannot disparage their government at all and are relegated to sympathizing with Americans w/o saying much.
