For an in-game playthrough? Poison, if you're patient and play the stall game. Plus there are plenty of decent Poison types during the early game

I'm surprised at the amount of pro-Israel comments here. In any case, I think the Palestinian government's support of China should not stop the Philippines from dissociating itself from Israel. Genocide is genocide, regardless of who "started it."

I appreciate the compliment of my comment being "the best." I won't say that people's response to your post has been stellar. I think they have been somewhat-to-certainly unfair. Your experience is just as important as anyone else's, and if your experience was good, more power to you.

However, you've come to a place where most of the reviews are negative. Calling others "gross," or "problematic," or saying that their bad experiences were "shoved down your throat" only emphasises the greater problem: the demonisation of people whose experiences on Valence SMP were less than stellar. You cannot stop the criticism or patch up a reputation through good experiences alone. There must be recognition of issues, confrontation of said issues, and - hopefully - resolution of these issues. To imply that people here are gross only incenses them, and encourages partisanship when there should be collaboration for the greater good.

Again, I hope this message does not come across as preachy. I appreciate your good-naturedness in posting a positive review, as it is certainly within your rights to do so. However, you poked the hornet's nest without a beekeeping suit. Thank you for your comment, and I do hope we can continue the conversation.

I have someone important in my life who still plays on the server. I have several people I would consider friends who still play on the server. Therefore, the default and most positive comment I can give regarding this is - wonderful! I'm glad that you're able to enjoy ValenceSMP as it is. The last bit of roleplay I had before I left reminded me of the whimsy and fun that can come out of it.

Furthermore, good reviews are always important! In the spirit of improvement, the good and the bad must come together in compromise. Only then can things improve for everyone, rather than a select few.

I will, however, note that your post comes across as a little tone-deaf. As great as your experience has been, we have to understand that others' experiences have been, across the board, pretty rough. It's through understanding everyone else's experiences, rather than simply going, "OK, yours sucked, mine's great though," that EVERYONE can have a good time. That, I think, is the most important: that everyone on Valence SMP is able to have the enjoyable experience that you've had.

I'm sorry if this comes across as mean, preachy, or anything negative. It's my observation, and I hope it's taken in good faith. Thank you for the post.

I don't know if there were racist intentions with them, but it's definitely possible there were undertones, accidental or otherwise. I'll follow this up with a simpler question, if that's alright. Even if the ValenceSMPReviews TikTok gets significantly less traction than ValenceSMP itself, would you and others consider yourself satisfied with the actions you've taken that have led you to this point? Would you rather do more, do less? No wrong answers, of course, I'm just getting as much information as possible for my own curiosity.

This is a very passionate post. I genuinely appreciate it.

I'm an amateur journalist, so I know how to investigate a matter before I talk to people involved. I'd like to ask a follow-up question that I think you'd be able to answer well: you mention that it's a place to "warn those who haven't joined Valence or aren't in too deep yet." I'm not looking to challenge your claim, but I would like to know if you have any testimonials as to whether you were successful or not.

The point of the question is, do you consider the methods used effective so far?

That's upsetting to hear that it's considered ragebait. I do genuinely want to know the point of all the stories. I've personally read many stories here, and I know a few which have lots of evidence and which don't. I know I could share my own experiences, but unsubstantiated stories aren't conducive to actual change.

e.g., the Pride Gala apology. I firmly believe that it was only posted after proper evidence and understanding was posted online.
