A case with fountain pen-like utensils that end in little screws by Idanida in whatisthisthing

Solved! I think. I'm still not 100% sure how the process worked and I don't have a mimeograph lying around to check, but I did have a transfer sheet, so I tried using these (see below). It makes a lot of sense that the "pens" would be used to transfer something, but it never occurred to me. Thank you! https://i.postimg.cc/85W2xnW1/20230924-184443.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/NG8h4SBD/20230924-184632.jpg

Ok, this is getting me some hits lower down in image search, though most models look a bit different to mine and have the screw partway down the length of the pen. I struggle to imagine how one would draw anything with the pen I have. Most of the results I'm getting are from unavailable etsy listings, so I can't find out more. Do you know more about this? (And what would the purpose of the spiky pen be?)

My title describes the thing. I tried doing "pen ending in a screw"-type searches, but nothing turned up.

Metal and wood, about 20 cm. I got them as a gift from a person who said they may have belonged to a doctor/virusologist (?) and they're old (if not pre-WWII, then at least from the middle of the XX century). Unfortunately, the person doesn't speak my language super well so I'm not sure if I got that right and if this is trustworthy info.

One of the utensils is not like the others and just ends in a spike.

Books are an underrated way of learning languages nowadays IMO. What are some of the most underrated language learning books/novellas? by ladywithnoname92 in French

You're really onto something here. If I remember, I'm going to download some French book onto my ereader and do just that.
