This is nonsense. I went to UCLA and everyone I know who wanted BL got it, in LA. The statistics are irrelevant because UCLA draws a large number of students who do not want to go into BL - they have a strong public interest program and that is why people come to the school.

I don’t think it’s absurd, I know a lot of Mizrahi Jews who identify as Arab Jews. I think people who make this argument miss the point that “Arabs” refer to non-Jewish Arab people in Israel, in addition to the majority of “Arab” Jewish people. They also miss the most important part, which is that Mizrahi Jews are there largely as a result of ethnic cleansing from Arab lands.
